I just found out that their father, my ex-husband is dying. He is in a hospital and is dying of kidney and liver failure. They are taking the news very hard. Although he and I had a bad marriage, we ended up being friends to each other. I spoke with him and he is in good spirits. The doctor says any day he will die. I ask for prayers for my girls that they have the strength to deal with this. I know what they are going thru as I lost my father two years ago. I appreciate this very much. Thank you and God Bless. I want to thank all of you for your sincerity and thoughts and of course your prayers at this time for my girls. They will be leaving tomorrow for Arizona to spend time with their father in the hospital...it broke my heart yesterday when he asked to speak to my boyfriend. My boyfriend told me that my ex asked him to take care of his daughters and to be there for them like he wished he could be. My boyfriend told him without a doubt he promised to be there for them. He would do the best he can to take care of them the way he would want them to be taken care of. I began to cry. It hurt so much to know their father who is only 49 will not see them fall in love, have children, see my daughter Jen graduate from high school next year, etc.
Most of all I am grateful for all of you and your kindness.

Oh, I just saw this thread.:( I am so sorry for your girls. My prayers go out to them, to your ex and his family, and to you and yours. It will be extremely hard for your girls to lose their father, but with love and understanding, both of which I am sure you will give them lots of, it will become, at least, more bearable with time.

I know what your daughters are going thru. My dad died of lung cancer almost 9 years ago. I remember it like it was yesterday. My dad and I were very close and my heart breaks for your daughters. I will keep them in my prayers and thoughts. Reading what your ex-husband said to your boyfriend brought tears to my eyes.

I know what you are going through in a sense. My boyfriend lost his oldest brother last year in August to liver cancer and he was only 44. He was only married for almost a year and a half and never had any children. His widowed
wife is having a real hard time getting through it; I don't know if she will make
it but we are all there for her and she has her family too.

I know it's hard to lose someone; especially so young. If you ever need to talk; I'm there. I lost my mother in January of last year and she was 71; she had colon cancer and it generalized everywhere. Not a day goes by that I don't miss and think of her but I'm doing ok. My father finds it hard though.
My boyfriend and I will be moving out of our apartment on June 24th to go live with my father so at least now he won't be alone and it will give us a chance to save money too. God bless you and your entire family.
