I'm excited! I hope everyone does well. Usually top 5 nights are great, so I hope this is also.

Scott sang this last year on top 5 week and got eliminated...on top 5 week :eek: uh oh

he's doing a pretty good job. not the best vocal, but good performance. 8/10

I thought it was kind of shaky, and I thought he could have done better. Not his best, but it was still really good.

"Kiss"- Prince

Pretty good. One of her better performances. 9/10

Randy: It was nice. I liked it.
Paula: I love when you sing songs from the past era.
Simon: Screechy and annoying.

REALLY good. One of his best. 10/10

Randy: We've got a real hot one tonight!
Paula: Outstanding. You set a bar for everyone else.
Simon: A million times better then the first two performances. Great choice of song.

Katharine McPhee

"Against All Odds"- Phil Colins

Pretty good. Not the best. She's had better though. 8/10

Simon: It was a mess, but you're lucky that you have another performance.

Tayor Hicks

"Play That Funky Music"

His best yet. By far. 9.5/10

Again, alright. Started off rough but she ended it well. 8.5/10

his first one i thought was a 10, it was like, his second best. his second was was an 8.5-ish for me.

Elliott <3. Taylor was amazing!!! Man he put me in the best mood. Chris was good the first time, but the 2nd was just painful. The screaming thing needs to stop. I thought Paris was good with Kiss. Kat was horrendous though with Against All Odds. Why must they all sing past Idols songs?! Seriously Im so damn sick of that song. Plus she sang it aweful.

ELLIOTT
A. On Broadway - It was really good! Thought he sang it like he owned it...I think he oversang some parts though. Scott Savol's version sounded purer. :blush: But I liked it. Great song choice! 8.2/10.
B. Home - Great, GREAT vocal, boring song. -_- 8.6/10.

PARIS
A. Kiss - I didn't like the song, but it was a pretty good vocal and a pretty good performance. 7.6/10.
B. Be Without You - I LOVE this song! :heart: And...she sang it REALLY well. One of her best performances yet! 8.8/10.

CHRIS
A. Renegade - An authentic Chris performance! 'NUFF SAID. 9.7/10.
B. I Dare You - As a Chris fan, I hate to say this, but some of the high notes were just painful. :( He rocked out though. 8.1/10.

KATHARINE
A. Against All Odds - Didn't like it too much. She sang an overdone song AND she oversang it. Probably one of her worst performances to date. 6.9/10.
B. Black Horse and the Cherry Tree - I was glad to see her sing something upbeat. The whole floor/musical accompanists thing was unique. Really, really great performance to balance out the average one. 8.7/10.

TAYLOR
A. Play that Funky Music - It was a good performance, but I felt like the song was TOO much. Good way to hype the crowd up though...7.2/10.
B. Something - Thought it was sort of a snoozefest, but I guess it was a nice change from the wild, crazy Taylor we saw in the first performance. Plus, it was a really good vocal. 7.8/10.

Of all the performances I think that the guys did the best.

Elliott's performance was just okay for me tonight. I thought his choice of a Michael Buble was a good choice. I love the song and I thought he performed it relatively well.

I am not a Taylor fan at all, but I loved the song he sang from his birth year. I loved how he danced around and looked like he was having fun.

Paris's performance from her birth year was just downright odd. I am not a Prince fan and can't believe that she would try something like that. Her second song was much better and my son actually sang along with it. LOL!!

I Kat's performance from her birth year was just downright painful for me to listen to. I love the song, but it is too overdone.

I loved Chris's performance from his birth year. Even my husband thought he did well. My husband is a huge Styx fan so coming from him that is a compliment. LOL! I have to admit I had never heard the second song he performed. I thought he did pretty well.

I liked Katherine's second performance and Chris's first. I think both will have a great future and sell A LOT of records no dought. Paris on the other hand, I didn't like it. I don't like R & B music. Maybe that's why. But I do like other types.

Yeah, though I didn't like the way Chris's voice "went" in the second song. :( I still thought he did a good job with it though. We already know the guy's a rock star no matter what he sings. ;)
