There was a reference to Elizabeth Smart, the young girl who was kidnapped and finally returned to her family after a nationwide search and all the media attention.

Last night Peter said something and they jumped to a different scene (typical family guy stuff) and they showed Elizabeth Smart playing the harp in the background while her parents were being interviewed abt her safe return. The father said that it is wonderful to hear music in the house again, unfortunately, the music is all abt RAPE!!!! :faint:

That show always goes too far , imho, which is why i dont like it....Peter, is just walking through town in 1938 dressed as Adolf Hitler, wondering why no one seems to like him? HOW is THAT funny? I think its just offensive...not to mention, he wasnt even born in 1938

It would be a good idea if those who are easily offended stop watching shows that might offend them. Family Guy and Southpark are always on the bleeding edge of humor. Those who are faint of heart should not watch.

If you can't stand the heat..... Don't watch.

I am offended by many shows. So I choose to not watch them. I usually don't do things that I know will bother me.

I watched this episode and didn't even notice the E. Smart joke. I wish I would have. Sounds pretty funny to me. When did it occur? I thought I watched the entire thing.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge FG fan. I have never found anything offensive until last nights episode. which is why I put in my title "did i say that?"

For me there is no such thing as "crossing the line" when it comes to humor. Sure some of it might not be for me, but it is in th eye of the beholder.

Irene, sorry for the rant. I assumed (incorrectly) that the post was by a FG hater trying to stir trouble.

That stupid family group that trys to get episodes pulled all the time has got me trigger happy. :) They get me riled up when they complain about a show that they or thier kids shouldn't even be watching.

Darn, starting to rant again. Better close this before I get out my soapbox.
