I think Patton Oswalt is extremely underrated as an actor. He really is a funny guy. Would you watch a Spence spinoff?

I would but I am sure it's like any other actor/actress who is extremely funny on a show, but rarely can they carry a show by themselves. It really helps to have a very good show. Example: Frasier Bad example: Kramer

You make a good point, of course the writers from KOQ would have to move over to the new show and the cast has to be just right.

I would definitely watch one, but I agree with Irene. I doubt a Spence spin-off would last very long.

I'd probably check it out, since Patton is pretty funny. But as others have said, unless the cast is good as well, it wouldn't last too long.

I wouldn't. For some reason, I really just don't enjoy Spence. I guess just because I'm partial to the earlier episodes where it was mostly Doug/Carrie/Arthur, and now it seems like Arthur is rarely on the show and Spence is often times in his place.

However, I don't get to watch the show every week, so maybe that's not the case. I just know that's what I've seen when I tuned in.

Yes, I'd definitely watch a Spence show. But I think with any spin-off, if you don't have the right combination of people that click, it won't work.

For instance, look at Elaine from Seinfeld ---- what is she on her 2nd try of sitcom now? I think instead of making her character into something else, in this case the Old Christine, they should have just had it named ELAINE. And then just pick up where she left off in Seinfeld....like maybe after getting out of prison, she had her relocate to another city for a job, and therefore you wouldn't expect to see any of the other Seinfeld characters.

I feel sorry for the "Joey" show. I don't keep up with whether it's either here nor there, but they should have given it some time, made some changes, and let the viewers have time for the new "Joey" to grow on them.
