My mom wouldn't let me eat the raw Pillsbury Cookie Dough when we would make them and I would get soooooo mad!!!! :2mad I told her that when I grew up I was gonna buy a whole one and just eat it raw, lol!!!!!! And I damn near did!!!!

I had to do chores EVERY FREAKIN' DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn!!!!!!!!! oh yeah, when I had my boyfriend, I had to decide which day to go out with him: FRIDAY, SATURDAY OR SUNDAY...I couldn't see him maybe in the day on Saturday and then Sunday evening....NO!!!!!!!!!!! "One time during the week is enough for you!!!" Oh give me a freakin' break here people!!!!!!:mad:

When I was around 11 or 12 years old, I really REALLY wanted to dye my hair all these crazy colors. Needless to say, my parents wouldn't let me :mad: Back then (in the grunge era :lol: ), pre-teens dyed their hair with Kool-Aid if their parents wouldn't let them use real dye, so that's what I did...

BIIIIG mistake! :lol: My hair was purple and STICKY for weeks!

With my mom, it was basically a free-for-all, because she knew my sis and I both knew what not to do.

With my dad/stepmom, though...Haha. They had so many rules that pissed me off. Such as, I couldn't drink coffee when I was at their house. Keep in mind, I had been drinking coffee since my parents were still married, but my dad obviously forgot about that after he remarried. :crazy: He didn't approve of my coffee drinking when I was 16. At one point, they -made- me eat their weird conoctions (sp?) that they would cook for dinner, regardless of whether I liked it or not. Ewwww. One time about 10 years ago, my dad made this REALLY weird casserole...Top layer was tator tots, sprinkled with shredded cheese. Below the tot layer was corn and TUNA!!!!!! (?!?!?!) That casserole was ****ING DISGUSTING, and I had to choke down every single bite of my casserole. It all came up again when I paid a visit to the bathroom. After that, they finally adopted the "Try-one-bite-and-if-you-don't-like-it,-don't-eat-it" policy.

Thankfully, now that I am in my twenties, my dad and stepmom don't treat me like a baby anymore. :D

My mom and dad wouldn't let me watch pro wrestling until I was 13 years old, so I use to sneak into their bedroom when they would be out in the living room, and watch it anyway. I'd end up missing over half the show, because I'd be peaking my head out the door every five seconds to make sure they weren't coming, but it was definitely worth it for me, just to get to see a little bit.

My mom treated me like such a baby when I was a kid. It seemed like every kid in the neighborhood was allowed to walk/ride their bike up to the corner store to buy candy and magazines except me. Even kids who were 2 and 3 years younger than me were allowed to go. I used to get so mad so I just ended up sneaking up there all the time without mom knowing.

My dad was VERY strict with my sister and me, and my mom had very little say because he was controlling towards her. She was afraid. We weren't even allowed to "hang out" with our cousins because he was super paranoid. He was afraid of the older male relatives being sexual predators. He had a lot similar history because he was making a lot of BAD decisions, so he was trying to place us in a bubble. But you know what - if you talk with your kids about decisions and how to handle decisions and what not, your child WILL listen. We never really got that talk other than "Do NOT trust ANYONE who is NOT your immediate family."

I like those "talk, they'll listen" commercials because they are so true. I always think about how I would have listened if my dad would've talked, but he tried to make us afraid. I think that's part of why I am subconsciously paranoid about a lot of stuff. I had to "learn" the reverse a lot of that all by myself.

My mom let's me put WWE Divas on my wall and watch movies like American Pie,but thinks I have bad morals because I do.Let me tell you something.The posters are tasteful and American Pie is mostly about four friends hanging out and doing guy stuff

My parents basically never gave me restrictions. They were so oblivious to a lot of the stuff I did. I guess looking at it in hind sight, that was a bad thing, because I did so much that was wrong.

I couldn't watch South Park and I couldn't drink Mountain Dew. That's about it.

My mom would never let me drink coffee. Now, I don't ilke coffe, but when I was younger I would always get mad because she would let me try it.

Spend the night w/ someone who lived in a trailor. My mom is very condasending and sterotypical that way.

Wow, you just reminded me! My dad would not let me watch Married... With Children when it was still on the air, even though I had been watching it for years. :lol:

Whenever I would see my boyfriend, whether it was me going out with him or he would visit me at my house...I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR ANYTHING THAT RESEMBLED SHORTS. I COULDN'T SHOW MY LEGS. My shirts couldn't be too tight....:crazy: :crazy:

My parents were pretty lenient with what they let me and my brothers do. I know there were certain rules they had at the time that I hated but looking back they weren't bad at all. The only thing now that really drives me crazy...I am apparently not allowed to kiss my boyfriend. He's over all the time and I can have him in my room I just have to keep the door open (which is kind of obnxious but it doesn't really bother me) but one time my mom walked by and I was sitting on my bed and he was at my desk chair and he was just giving me a quick peck and she got all weird and was like, "This isn't a hotel, I don't care how long you have been together." I wish I could say she was kidding but she wasn't.

That reminds me of a co-worker friend of mine. She won't even let her 17-year-old and 15-year-old daughters touch/drive her car....even with her inside. She just doesn't trust them enough because they are only beginners in driving. She's afraid something will happen with the car and the insurance price would go up for her.

My parents weren't crazy about when I would use matches. My dad would want to barbecue and I'd want to start the fire. Every house we lived in had either one of those fake fireplaces, or a fireplace nobody used. I guess my parents thought I'd be careless with the matches. Now, of course, as an adult, every house I've lived in, including my current house, has had to have either a woodstove or fireplace. Every winter I like to have plenty of wood on hand. I love to have a blazing fire to warm up the house--and, my parents would be glad to know, I am extremely careful.

A frend of mine had ZERO thiings he couldnt do and as a result,he didnt really do anything bad!!

My mom wouldnt let me watch XTRO .. My dad rented it one day and we were sitting down to watch it and it showed this lady naked in a room :D (My mom turned it off and wouldnt let me watch it (I forogtm how old I was))

I still havent seen XTRO passed that point :D (Its supposed to be an alien type movie)
