has anyone "discovered" a show through the reruns, that you never watched in prime time? Or started watching a show after it had been on for, say, 2 or 3 seasons?

just a couple weeks ago, I started watching "THAT 70s SHOW". Now, I watch it almost every night. That's a FUNNY show! Does that still air in prime time?

And, I started watching "C.S.I." & "C.S.I.: MIAMI" after they had been on for 3 seasons, the same with "THE AMAZING RACE".

And, I've just started watching "CRIMINAL MINDS"-I'm not sure when that started.

70's show will air its final show next month...:(
However, it jumped the shark a long time ago...it's time for it to leave.

Desperate Housewives was a show I got hooked on after some time had passed. It started in episode 8 back in Late November 2004 and I've been addicted ever since.

Made Grey's Anatomy a must-see show(though I'm not "addicted" like with DH) when the Super Bowl cliffhanger episode aired.

A lot of the shows I picked up on in 2004 and 2005 were joined in progress, though hardly any scripted shows, mostly reality. I never watched the first 3 seasons of Survivor originally, the 1st season of The Amazing Race, the 1st season of The Apprentice, or the first season of Big Brother. In fact, before September 2004(probably due to my cable news obsession), the only shows I watched were Survivor, Race, and in the summer, Big Brother. Today I have so many shows that I watch that I have several timeslot conflicts.

Veronica Mars was for me, to some extent. I didn't watch the first season because of a time conflict with TAR, and CTV in Canada didn't air the first season until last summer. Because I had no cable back in my hometown (3 stations only), I started watching and got hooked.

Friends and Seinfeld I don't even remember watching until 96 or 97. I remember hearing a lot about them, but not actually watching them until syndication. Same thing with ER, although I only stuck out about 4 season with that show. I remember I stopped watching it when ABC aired Steven King's "Storm of The Century" on a Thursday night. After that, I just never watched the show anymore.

I started watching Fooballer's Wives in their 2nd Season.

I "Discovered" Third Watch when they started their 3rd Season. Even though their studio was 2 blocks away, and I would see the actors all the time. They filmed on location, but I never thought I would like the show. And now it's one of my all time favorites.

And I started watching Friends when it first came to sydication, back in 1997. Then I started watching it on Thursday nights in primetime, when they were in the 4th Season.

Yea I became a fan of 3rd Watch when A&E started airing reruns.

Yea I became a fan of 3rd Watch when A&E started airing reruns.

I watched Seasons 3-6 on NBC and caught the reruns of 1-2 on A&E. And everyone in my family was obsessed with Third Watch, so I made them get me up to date with everything.

And I can't believe I forgot to mention Roseanne. I'm 18, so Roseanne was on when I was younger, and I really didn't like it. I was more of a "Happy" sitcom kid, where I used to love Full House, Step by Step, and Saved By The Bell. I started watching Roseanne in 2003, back when TBS had it. It's one of my favorite shows ever now.

I just started watching "MY NAME IS EARL" back in december, I'd been wanting to watch it since it started, but it was on against "THE AMAZING RACE". Then, in december, when "THE AMAZING RACE" wasn't on, I watched the christmas episode of it, and I've been watching it almost every week since. Only problem now is, since NBC moved it to thursdays, it's on against the first half of "C.S.I.":(

And, I've just started watching "CRIMINAL MINDS"-I'm not sure when that started.

It started this year.

I picked up CSI late...in Season 5 maybe. I started watching CSI:NY this season, so I only missed one. I started watching Cold Case late.

Most of my fav shows I picked up on very late because I wasn't even alive when they were on.

Most of my favorite shows like Family matters, Step by step, Full House, Perfect strangers, Growing pains and more I picked up in reruns b/c I was born in 1990 when most of the shows were aired already and most would be airing that year

For me it was CHEERS. I didn't start watching until the summer between Diane's departure and Rebecca's arrival.

I "discover" almost every show through reruns. I never watch anything new, I don't know why.

For me it was CHEERS. I didn't start watching until the summer between Diane's departure and Rebecca's arrival.you weren't the only one. I remember seeing George Wednt on Letterman one night that fall; and he was saying that when Shelly left and Kirstie came
the shows audience increased by 75%.
