View Full Version : How much $$$$ does it take to fill up your gas tank nowadays?
Ireneparalegal 04-30-2006, 12:23 AM $40. It will last me abt five days.
My cousin told me today his Hummer takes $80...I was like :faint:
How abt those of you who have a vehicle?
dawsongirl 04-30-2006, 12:29 AM About $30-35. I can make a tank go 3 weeks if I just go to work and maybe to the store once.
moeee 04-30-2006, 12:38 AM $40.00 to fill up a full tank where i live. Thats crazy.
staypuftman2004 04-30-2006, 12:40 AM $56.00
Janice 04-30-2006, 12:45 AM About $30.
Brieannas21 04-30-2006, 01:07 AM I have Aviator and yesterday it took 43 dollars to fill my car up.
Czas na Zywiec 04-30-2006, 01:42 AM i get 32 mpg, so i used to tank only like $20. now it's about $30, so I'm going to use my bike a lot more oftenthis summer. i refuse to tank more than 2 times a month.
Stormtracker TF 04-30-2006, 02:53 AM About 30 bucks for me, I have a rather small car and it doesn't take alot of gas. Still, crazy.
Fleet 04-30-2006, 04:00 AM I never fill up. I only put in $20 or $25 at at time. I figure if I fill the large gas tank in my cars (26 to 27.5 gals, depending on the year and model), it's going to add a lot of extra weight which will further decrease gas mileage.
Mikado 04-30-2006, 04:41 AM Ive stopped filling my car since gas went up to $1.05 per litre, but, atm, i tend to put it in $20 at a time , and its barely half full!!!
80sTrivia 04-30-2006, 08:39 AM I try not to let my gas tank get too empty, so I end up putting about $25 in my tank every three to four days...
LuLu Rogers 04-30-2006, 08:46 AM I have a small car and the last time I filled up it was $32. A tank of gas lasts me about 3 weeks, sometimes more.
Pitooey 04-30-2006, 09:30 AM I never really had the tank empty but I think I might go over $50.00 if I had to fill it up all the way.
Chelsea 04-30-2006, 01:17 PM I'm usually looking at two fillups of around $30-$35/fill. That's filling from 1/4 tank to Full
Usually fill on Monday. This lasts me through to Friday (yes, I drive a LOT, even when IN school). . On Friday I fill back up. Between two 90 mile drives, and misc. driving over the weekend, I have to fill back up again on Monday.
James 04-30-2006, 05:55 PM I must say I have never had to spend more than $30 to fill up my gas tank. For my car (a 2003 Saturn Ion) the pump automatically switches off after just after nine gallons unless I let the needle get too far beyond the 1/4 tank mark; I never "top off" since many stations discourage doing so. The most I ever paid at the pump was $29.71 last October when regular unleaded was $2.859 a gallon, and I paid over $3 per gallon a few times after Hurricane Katrina--on vacation, too!
Crimson and Clover 04-30-2006, 06:28 PM about 30$
retrochick9 04-30-2006, 10:29 PM $37 FRICKIN' BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! And I have a frickin' car!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ireneparalegal 04-30-2006, 10:31 PM $37 FRICKIN' BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! And I have a frickin' car!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AllIWantIsYourClutch 04-30-2006, 11:32 PM I spent $37 the other day.
We took a suburban on Saturday and that was $68 to fill up.
ponytail 05-01-2006, 06:30 AM I only put in about $20 -$25 in the tank. If I was to fill it up it would cost me probably $70 and on up. I drive my dad's pick-up. When he died it was given to me. It's up for sale now. It's nice but I don't need a truck anymore.
bandito 05-01-2006, 06:55 AM somewhere between $40-42 dollars
Holly 05-01-2006, 08:50 AM I usually dont let my gas tank go below E, I usually fill up when it hits half a tank, and that coasts 20 something dollars... the other day I filled up it was 23 or something like that.. And another week it was 27 UGH this is stupid how they are rasing gas prices its stupid.
