Ireneparalegal 04-29-2006, 10:58 PM Monopoly, God how i loved that game. I still do. me and my friends would play for days.
Slinky: I didn't have stairs in my house so it kinda defeat the purpose of having it. I would get boxes or whatever I could to make something high enough just to see it do its thing.
Easy Bake Oven: Sometimes the baking didn't come out so good. But I loved it.
Wooly Willy: that little cardboard with the man's face and it had magnetic shavings so you could make him a beard, hair, etc. That was fun to play with, for awhile anyways.
jacks: I was so awesome at that game. I could grab ten jacks at a time.
Chinese jumprope was the bomb!!!! We would play that at recess. At home when there were no friends around I would use two chairs to hold the chinese jumprope.

PZelda 04-30-2006, 01:53 AM Let's see...I was a kid for a while in the 80's, so...
- NES
- Speak 'n' Spell, Speak 'n' Math and Speak 'n' Read
- Barbies
- TMNT action figures
- Fisher-Price Movie Viewer (if you were born in the mid-80's and earlier, you remember this)
- Play-Doh
There are many more I played with as a kid, but I can't think of them all at the moment. I still have many of my toys. A good number of the toys are at least 20 years old or older now.
Toys I hated...Well, I really can't think of any, sorry! Wait...My Fetch Armstrong (http://cgi.ebay.com/Stretch-Armstrong-Fetch-Armstrong-perfect-free-S-H_W0QQitemZ6045705599QQcategoryZ30QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) toy was a big disappointment to me. I probably still have it, just don't know where it is now. Fetch was nothing like the Stretch Armstrong doll I had as a kid. :( But that's really about it, I think.
Apparently, they didn't make a lot of these Fetch Armstrong toys...they're very rare to find, so I guess I lucked out on owning one.

Play-Doh...that crap would get me in trouble..."Look!!!! Play-Doh is stuck in the carpet..."

Mikado 04-30-2006, 04:02 AM Well, I loved Matchbox toy cars....Hot wheels looked cooler, but, they had these tiny wire axles so the wheels always got crooked or came off in 2 or 3 months, so, I prefered the much more sturdy matchboxes...i used to buy one a month with my $1 allowance and would have $ left...I had a big plastic 67 Corvette, that was cool, but my battery operated VW that made VW noises and had bump and go action was even cooler....although, me and my bro had a lot of fun making our matching Corvettes ram each other head on....Which reminds me of the crash up race car set i had: VW against 57 Chev Nomad, you pulled the cord and sent the cars into each other and the doors, wheels and hoods flew off ( you could replace them )...my all time fave was ANOTHER VW Bug toy, a peddle car available only through VW dealers for a short time , fortunately, my neighbour was a VW salesman and got an extra one, just for me ;)
VVVAnd here i am, driving my pride and joy, way back whenVVV
Makoto_Shinobi 04-30-2006, 08:49 AM I mostly love Nintendo and cartoons at my young age.
LuLu Rogers 04-30-2006, 08:51 AM Light-Bright, Mr. Potatoe Head, Leggos, Splat the board game, Play Doh, Slinky, Trouble, Connect Four, Matchbox and Hotwheels cars
Mijada 04-30-2006, 08:58 AM My absolute favorite was Legos
I also loved Matchbox/Hotwheels cars, Star Wars toys, Fisher Price Little People, Stuffed Animals and any kind of Crayola Art Supplies and of course my BMX bike.
My least favorites were Barbie Dolls and pretty much anything else that was girly. I do remember asking for a Cabbage Patch Doll though but it had to be a boy.
BTW Mikado you were so cute in your little car!
LuLu Rogers 04-30-2006, 09:00 AM I almost forgot! I loved the Littlest Petshop toys! They were so cute!
Im a big deal 04-30-2006, 10:26 AM i liked all my brothers toys...like hotwheels and legos.
i had this hotwheels car that you would run into another car it it would look like it was crashed because the sides would turn around and look like the metal was crunched and the you would turn it back to the other side and do it again. kind of a bad description..sorry.
i LOVED lion king toys. i have almost every lion king toy you can imagine.
i hated barbies! its kinda weird because i am a girl and i liked boy toys.
i had this little bear thing and you would put a tape in it and it would read you a story. it was awesome.
i didnt like board games too much...
Mikado 04-30-2006, 01:31 PM BTW Mikado you were so cute in your little car!
 thx...it had a BEEP BEEP horn , just like the real ones did!
My Star Wars toys were my favorites. I still have them, as a mater of fact.
Atari was also a big hit in our house.
Another cool toy that my father loved was "Tin Can Alley." It was a target shooting game where you used a toy rifle that fired a beam of light to knock over some tin cans that were lined up. Pretty clever.
Ireneparalegal 04-30-2006, 05:05 PM I had Barbies. But all my barbies were brunettes, i didn't care for the blonde ones.
I had this beautiful doll house and one day a year ago while in a vintage thrift store i saw an exact duplicate of the one I had and I wanted to buy it sooooo bad. Memories..........:(
