I Love both shows, but I will have to go with Roseanne, for the simple reason that I NEED to have that Drama every once in a while. And I also love those sad moments. I love Sap!!!

how can u compare one sitcom with a very different sitcom??? These two shows were very different...the only thing they had in common was the fact they were both sitcoms.

The shows are totally different. Roseanne is more realistic while Married with Children is more of a novelty.

I really loved both shows as well, but ultimately, I would have to give my vote to Roseanne, for its more realistic-yet-still-incredibly-funny portrait of the contemporary American family... :crazy:

The Conners just was SLOPPY, DIRTY, and UNATTRACTIVE and the fact that they featured Roseanne's MOM too much makes the decision easy for me. Married with children

Of those two, I'll go with Roseanne.

I like both shows, but if given the choice I pick Married With Children it always made me laugh. I always felt sorry for poor Al.

I never really got into Married w Children but always enjoyed watching Roseanne immensely. So it's Roseanne for me.

Well i've been watching MWC since I was born so I pick it but im a very big fan of Roseanne aswell.

Roseanne for me, I never watched much of MWC.

Definitely Roseanne. That show was witty, honest and had an excellent continuity. (for the most part) Married with Children was great in it's early years, but eventually devolved into a dumb and vulgar cartoon.

I dont/ didnt watch Rosanne. I watched Married With Children but am over it now.

i like both shows but for very different reasons. also, to compare roseanne with married with children is like comparing friends to will and grace- as in the similarties between those two are not really evident. i liked roseanne because it wasn't afraid to tackle issues head on and to do it without patronising the audience, with married with children i kinda liked the stupidity and silliness of it, even if it was a tad sexist at times and the fact it didn't take itself seriously at all

Gotta be Roseanne. I miss that show. It sux that Nick-at-Nite only shows it for special occasions now. And it sux even more that FOX 61 buried the show at 3AM. When for the past 3 years it had been on at 9AM alternating between FOX 61 and sister station CW20.

Roseanne, I like Married With Children as well but Roseanne in my opinion was so much funnier.

I prefer Roseanne over Married with Children, I've watched a few eps but I didn't care for the show, it wasn't my cup of tea.

Well that's the same with Roseanne, the later season's were no where near as good as the earlier season's, but i still love the show! :)
