Starting Monday Unsolved Mysteries will be on at 7+8 every night for 2 weeks. I think there might be some new cases. That's what the comercial looked like.

if you go on the lifetime website you can see which segments

I'm loving that Golden Girls avatar for some reason.

I don't think any of the cases are new. But I DO think that this "2 week" block is a test by Lifetime to see if UM still has enough legs to warrant a prime time slot, so be sure to watch, especially if you have a Nielsen Box.

This may seem like a silly question, but what is a Nielsen Box? Just curious.

The following link should explain it.

Unsolved Mysteries must do well for Lifetime because the month of May is taken very seriously in the tv industry. There is no way they would put Unsolved Mysteries on in primetime during May Sweeps if they didn't think people would watch.

Since they are showing the newer ones in primetime, Lifetime should have opened up the 800 number again for tips.

They closed the 800 number?! I thought that it was still open, but was just an answering machine now.

It's such a shame when you remember the set of Unsolved Mysteries with all the little cubicles, workin' the phone lines.... :)

Only 2 weeks?! :( Yesterday was the first time I've watched UM in two months because I'm at work or doing errands during the day.

Boco357 didn't actually say that the 800 number was closed. When Boco357 said that Lifetime "should have opened up the 800 number," I think that actually meant there should have been operators on duty. The 800 number would only be closed if it were disconnected or out of service. In which case, you would hear a recorded message confirming that.

Right, I meant to say have someone answering the phones. I would have done it probono if they asked....
