"The Sun Shines Bright On My Old Kentucky Home" -Stephen Foster
Today is the one day of the year you can't call Kentuckians a bunch of non-shoe wearing, Confederate flag waving rednecks! Anybody watch the Derby? I was at a crew race all day, but I taped it and watched it when I got home. For the past three years because of crew I haven't been able to be home, instead stuck in no-where Ohio. If I was home I would've gone to the Governor's Breakfast in the morning and to Keeneland in the afternoon to place bets (I still did through my parents) and watch the races on simulcast. I miss those days instead of sitting around in my dorm room watching the race on tape. It was a great race this year. Second-fastest time ever and a beautiful playing of "My Old Kentucky Home". I bet on the wrong horses though!! I won $1.60 which is really pitiful since it was a $2 bet, so I lost 40 cents.
