Liz Taylor 'near death'
From correspondents in Los Angeles
April 28, 2006
HOLLYWOOD legend Elizabeth Taylor is reportedly on the brink of death after her heart began to fail.
The Oscar winner, 74, is believed to be bedridden in her Bel Air, California, home.
Taylor reportedly cancelled her annual Easter party to plan her funeral.
She is expected to be buried next to former husband Richard Burton in Switzerland.
"Liz is inching closer to death every day and she knows it," a friend said.
"She's not leaving a lot of money to her children. She wants the bulk of her fortune to go to AIDS research."

Ireneparalegal 04-27-2006, 11:50 PM I just seen on ABC news that her spokesperson says it's a lie, hoax, rumor and a bad one at that. They are denying any such story. What that means, I guess she is not dying. but then again, you know Hollywood.
Janice 04-27-2006, 11:50 PM I read that on Drudge today. I was going to post it, but I didn't recognize the newspaper source. It's now making it into more and more papers. I believe it's true.
Mr. Television 04-27-2006, 11:58 PM I had heard that she wasn't in good health . I hope it's not true but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

Publicist For Actress Elizabeth Taylor Denies Reports
The rumors spread quickly that the actress was near death after they surfaced in a tabloid
Los Angeles, April 27, 2006 - Quoting "inside sources," national and international tabloid newspapers have gone with the story that Elizabeth Taylor is near death. That information has now been picked up and re-worded by various publications mostly on-line sites.
According to her publicist Elizabeth Taylor is not near death. Dick Guttman says that he can refute every allegation in these published reports. In fact, he says they didn't get anything right.
Guttman says Taylor has a very busy life, with her successful perfume and jewelry lines and the work she does for AIDS.
The published reports have gone, as far as, to say Taylor is already planning her own funeral and she wants to be laid to rest next to her ex-husband, Richard Burton. Guttman says those are also lies.
The endless health stories surrounding Taylor's supposed impending death, Guttman says, have just become exasperating.
dawsongirl 04-28-2006, 04:03 AM Well, she does have Congestive Heart Failure, so even if it's not true now, it will be eventually.
80sTrivia 04-28-2006, 05:56 AM Elizabeth has been on the brink of death countless times over the years and somehow always manages to pull through... I pray she will pull through this latest crisis as well...
Pitooey 04-28-2006, 07:40 AM She's one of the last old style actors left besides Mickey Rooney. It will happen eventually but if it happens soon I'll be sad.:(

I don't mean to sound cynical but everytime that I hear that she is ailing again it's just ho hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:rolleyes: Sorry Liz, I really do wish you well.:D

Janice 04-28-2006, 12:06 PM Elizabeth Taylor has been sickly most of her life, and has cheated death on a few occasions; but at age 74, it's always more serious.
