Jesse was surprisingly funny with his timing and facial expressions. That was underappreciated, IMO. Danny Tanner was also funny in a dry sort of way. Joey was not funny. I'll go with Jesse as my favorite male character. Though, he really got worse once the worst TV babies in the history of television were cast as his children (not the infants, the two blond haired kids who could barely piece together a word until they were 8-years old).

Favorite female? I thought Stephanie in season 1 was a lot "cuter" than Michelle, even though Michelle got most of the attention. DJ was obnoxious most of the time. Michelle had cute one-liners and showed some good acting skills in her crying scene(s) with Jesse. It's a tie between young Stephanie and young Michelle. I couldn't stand either of them when they reached a certain age.

For me, the highlight of the show was always the friendship/interaction between Jesse and Joey. They truly did act like brothers. In my opinion, by the end of the series I thought Jesse and Joey were better friends with each other then either of them were with Danny!

Great example is the ferret scene, when they were both in the garage looking for the "monster" when some lady walked in and found one of them on each other's shoulders. At least I think that's what happened :cuckoo
