Yea I really shouldn't be online as much as I am. I've tried to cut down in the past but it's so addictive.

Yeah, especially now around finals time when I have papers to write/exams to study for. But that doesn't stop me from wasting my time online.

I've cut way down, and I'm still on a lot.

I don't feel guilty. I don't let it interfere with my real life.

Hello retrochick9,

I used to be a net junkie but things are different now. As you can see not to many new sites coming online these days, and chat rooms is a no no for me.

I would say that lately I have been feeling guilty for wasting time online, especially at home. There are times when all three forums I frequent has sooooo little activity, and there is hardly anyone online or available anymore on the IM. That's when I start to realize I really have such a boring life. I have thought about cutting back on some of my internet activity. Then again, I have been thinking this for about 10 years, and it's still the same. Well, seriously speaking, I am highly considering cutting back certain online communication activities.

My husband will say "Are you on the computer again", and that makes me feel
kind of guilty. I'm just glad he's not interested in it, but my son, now thats a
different story.

I'm on the internet like I was last year. I just don't have the time anymore to be on HOURS at a time.

a few minutes a day is fine for me. :)

Yep. There's probably other things I could do but instead, I waste a lot of time on here. I think it's become a crutch for a LOT of people our generation and why many people are so socially akward these days. Internet is to us what TV and the VCR was to people in the 80s.

I love being online.... Its fun except when you hear about scammers taking advantage of people and they fall for it,thats not good...... But really the internet IS NO BETTER THAN REAL PEOPLE because "real people" are using it!!

Being retired and thru with hobbies, I've had so many in my life, the net is my hobby and connections, very interesting for the most part, and I've learned so much since Good Health is my main topic in life, I get so much good info from around the world. I have a lot of older friends who are not online and I don't know what they do with themselves, one eats herself to obesity. Most watch TV, I do not.

OH Nuts!

I DEFINITELY feel guilty and know it’s keeping me from doing everything I should be doing. That’s why I’m thinking of going cold turkey.

There can be moderation between "all day/ everyday" and "never". Maybe drop by two to three times a week, something like that? Find a schedule that works for you.

Only you know, is cold turkey the answer? And take a long break maybe, see what else you need to be doing or can be doing.
