Elliott was amazing!! OMG! So glad to finally see him get the credit he deserves. I LOL'd pretty hard at Paula though. I hope he lasts another week.

Chris is a bit overrated for me and its sooooo obvious that the producers ar pushing for him to win.

I like Taylor, but this was his worst performance so far. But he will be safe.

Actually they were all good except for Kellie and Paris. I hope it is Paris that gets the ax, but it will most likely be kellie. She has the look of someone who has given up.

I really did try hard to like Kellie's performance tonight, because it's one of my favorite love songs of ALL time...but it was just so BORING!! She didn't do anything interesting at all with the song except maybe the high note. She should go tomorrow, but she won't. It will probably be Paris or sadly, Elliott.

Katharine's wasn't as bad as the judges made it out to be, I think.It was that bad and it's about time the judges stopped pumping sunshine into an overrated karaoke singer.

1. KATHARINE - It wasn't that bad, but I do agree that some parts were a bit pitchy AND the performance looked and sounded like it came straight out of the karaoke lounge. It was good though. 7.7/10.

2. ELLIOTT - The BEST of the night!! I was really looking forward to hearing him sing this song cuz he sounded really good when he sang it at his audition...but tonight wasn't good, it was AMAZING. I never heard him evoke so much emotion into a performance! I even was close to tears myself, just like Paula. :o :lol: But seriously...it was the best tonight and his personal best as well. 9.7/10.

3. KELLIE - Better than last week's disaster, but still not good enough to take over anyone else. It was an average vocal and a boring performance. She's slipping. 6.6/10.

4. PARIS - It was an on and off performance, but overall, I really didn't like it. The song was too old for her, IMO. 6.9/10.

5. TAYLOR - I didn't think it was bad at all. The vocal was almost perfect and effortless...just a couple of bumps here and there. I can understand the karaoke comments though...My dad sings that song on karaoke A LOT and even though my dad isn't that great of a singer, he and Taylor sure almost match up to each other on that one! :lol: 8.5/10.

6. CHRIS - It was reaaaaallllly great!! For real, whoever says that he can't sing anything but rock has been proven wrong once again. Well...I guess his song could be considered as SOFT rock, but still...:lol: He showed versatility, range, emotion, the entire package. It was awesome. And seductive too. :drool: That's just a bonus though. ;) Really...I loved it. 9/10.

Elliott - Wow, he was by far, THE BEST TONIGHT!! :D I LOVED his performance!! Even Simon said it was superb! He did awesome! He better not be in the bottom 3...being in the bottom with a performance like that is really unjust.

Kellie - She butchered one of my favorite songs. She was off pitch and was the worst of the night. I didn't like that high note, either. She really needs to go already.

Paris - I thought she did a very nice job. Great performance.

Taylor - I am a Taylor fan, but I didn't really like his performance all that much tonight. It was ok, but we've seen much better from him.

Chris - Wow, he really impressed me tonight (again). This is probably my favorite performance from him! I like it when he sings something other than rock...he does such a nice job :) There was a little of a rockish twist in there though, but I liked it.

Overall, I think the top 3 tonight were Elliott, Chris and Paris. The bottom 3, IMO were Kellie, Katharine and Taylor. I think for sure that Kellie and Paris will be in the bottom, but I'm not sure who the other person will be. I'm guessing Katharine, maybe. Sadly, I think Paris will be leaving because her fan base isn't as large as some of the others. It's really sad because she has a lot of talent.

I thought everything about Katharine's performance was amazing, and have no clue what the judges were talking about. Kellie's performance was beyond awful. I couldn't believe how bad it was. Right before Simon said it, I thought to myself that Paula should be crying at that, because of how bad it was.

I thought the judges were far too harsh on Katherine. Elliot did wonderful, as did Paris! I really enjoyed Chris' version of the Bryan Adams song! :)

I beleive zaba too. I heard over at idol boards that dialidol only adds up one phone line. So that would mean they didn't or don't add the second lines for each contestant. I would only go by zabasearch.com

So, I rewatched, and...

1. Elliott Yamin -- Chris's was probably more authentic, but I just was so emotionally moved by his performance, therefore he gets the top spot.
2. Chris Daughtry -- His best performance in weeks. I really really enjoyed it. It wasn't too indulgent, and it wasn't out of sync with what he usually does, yet it was something different.
3. Katharine McPhee -- See I knew the judges were smoking something because I was stunned at their comments. I do prefer her more "Someone To Watch Over Me"-like approach to songs, but she did well for a Whitney song.
4. Taylor Hicks -- I know it's gonna sound crazy, but I'm actually starting to like Taylor. And I happened to love this performance, but the judges weren't too crazy. Hmm.
5. Kellie Pickler -- It was just okay. I think the reason why her fans didn't blast the phone lines was because she showed absolutely no charm except for in the interview before her package. It was just the wrong song and the wrong approach to it.
6. Paris Bennett -- Call me crazy, but I just didn't like it. I think she needs to work on going more in and out -- she should start soft and end big versus singing the whole song with power. If any of you listen to Nigel Lythgoe's interviews with TV Week, he even mentions that Paris gets too powered up too early in the song. I don't feel any any any emotion when she sings either, so I don't know. It also seems like she's just... there. To me, she's not showing that she wants to be there.
