Um, no... but my close friend is in Tae Kwon Doe... she should know those. If you want to talk to her, her screen names are Beckers22MA and KarateGal22... she's really enjoys martial arts and would probably love to talk to you about it.

Shirley: Well, Laverne is sort of childish
Laverne: Childish? Childish? Coming from a grown woman who throws tea parties for her stuffed cat?
Shirley: At least I don't sew L's on everything I wear!
Laverne: Well that would be pretty stupid considering your name's Shirley!
Michael: At what time was I born, Mother?
Mrs. Darling: Why, you were born at two o'clock in the nighttime, Dearest
Michael: Oh Mother, I hope I didn't wake you!

It varies by style of karate being practiced and sometimes by individual dojos. I actively participate in some Japanese martial arts, but I really can't help you much with karate. What I do know is that in the shotokan style of karate, the green belt is awarded at the 6th Kyu level. When you start out, depending on the Dojo, you start testing at the 8th Kyu level, moving up. So 6th is a pretty early belt. After you complete the Kyu testing, you move into Dan testing, which is black belt level.
As far as 2nd degree green belt, I have never heard that term referred to a Kyu level, only Dan levels. It may be a funky karate thing that I know nothing about.
Did this help at all?
