What is the story behind your username? What is one important goal you would like to accomplish before the end of this year? Are you planning on going on any vacations this summer?

Q1-What is the story behind your username?- Mikado is a Japanese equivalent to my actual name Michel ( which means God-like :eek: ) the Mikado was the God-King of ancient Japan..also the spelling of the 2 names is similar...I'm heavilly into Japanese and Asian arts and culture, thus, Mikado

Q2-What is one important goal you would like to accomplish before the end of this year?- To finally try to sell some of my art....Ive been drawing, painting, doing photography for years on a totally amateur basis; I've always had trouble selling "my babies" :blush: ( That is to say trouble with the IDEA of selling my stuff...I like to KEEP everything for myself!!! :lol: ) ps. that bridge pic to the left is an example of my photography

Q3-Are you planning on going on any vacations this summer?Unfortunately, I'm busy with work until at least Aug, I may take a week or 2 then, but, ive been thinking of going to Montreal next winter to see my aunt and uncle again and take in a Canadiens hockey game instead.

I love Japan and China. My living room has oriental decor/Japanese decor.

I love Japan and China. My living room has oriental decor/Japanese decor.
Sounds like my bedroom, in there i have a chinese lantern, dragon, screen, model "junk" a Japanese fan, some Japanese porcelain and about 40 anime miniatures

What are you fave foods?
Well, on my budget, spaghetti and teriyaki steak....If i had real money, LOBSTER...OMG I loveeeee it!!!!!

Dumpster behind Dennys? :lol: Probably just living in the same area , though,I sometimes think Id like to live in Japan

Hmmm, sometimes it seems like they all were...to be honest, im so shy that Ive not really been in any till I got online :blush:

What turns you on in a woman? Turn-offs?
Intelligence; seriously, when i was in school, I was always after the A student girls :D Ill NEVER understand men who love "bubbles", if I cant have a great convo with a woman, if she cant give me an opinion, I lose interest very quickly...other turn offs for me are tall women, and women who are "cold".

What is your fave NHL team(s)?
Montreal Canadiens...partly due to my French-Canadian heritage, partly cause RED is by FAR my fave colour< extra info on that Q ;)

Where have you traveled?
Ive seen all of eastern Canada,Ontario to the Marritimes , Ive never been west....Ive gone as far as Buffalo in the USA ( 45 mins from here :lol: ), only foreign country Ive ever been in.

What are you having for supper?Well Jeremy, i didnt have time to cook today, so i had a Swanson frozen artificial pork rib! :lol:

what are your thoughts on magical unicorns? ?
They can be a bit tough but, if you marinate them JUST right, and season them with tarragon and aregano, cook at 375 for 4 hours.....MWAAAHHH!!! ( Delish!! ) ps. while the shoes and horn make lovely decorations, its not recommended that you eat them

Good Q...When i was about 2 ( yes TWO ) , my Dads old Pontiac died ( permanently )in my Granmas driveway...I guess it made an impression cause its the first time i remember my Dad being so upset ( Sadly, not the last )...I remembered every detail , such as my uncles similar Pontiac parked in front of Dads , the radio and dashboard, looking up at my Granmas window to avoid Dad...years later, when i was about 20, I told Mom this story and all the details, incl what Mom and Dad said at the time and she told me that she remembered it exactly the same way

Are you a good cook??
I think i am an excellent cook...took me 2 years to get the "timing" dsown, but since then, i only improve....only prob, not ever having been married, I only know how to cook for one person at a time, 2 in a pinch

What is your style of dressing/fashion??
Casual , i dress for me, not for others

What are a few of your favorite books and movies??
The Pierre Berton series of books on Canadian history are my faves,but ill buy old school history text books and read them cover to cover the way others read a novel. The only non-fiction i read is MANGA( Japanese comic books< and no they arent porn ) As for movies, I love foreign film, particularly Dramas from China who make the best movies in the world...As for American film, I love the classics from the silent era to the 1940s ...modern American film rarely interests me...too many cars crashing, too little story

Do you have any pets??
Ive had dogs, goldfish and birds, id love to get another dog in the future, i love animals...atm, i have no pets

Documentaries of any type...as i said, i am a HUGE history buff. 90% of what i watch on TV is either educational, or hockey!( The only sport I ever really loved to play ) After that, reruns of classic TV on occasion, especially M*A*S*H or Get Smart..... and CORNER GAS< Best sitcom on TV!!!

What things do you like to do on a date??
Well, Ive never really dated anyone, but i have gone out with a friend and we saw a movie and had Japanese food together,,, it was fun.
( Im abnormally shy with women :blush: )

grilled teriyaki steak with asparagus , basmatti rice, grilled onions and mushrooms with a little salad on the side ...all fresh ingredients , chopped by hand ( drool )

pretty much the same , as it will live on in reruns forever in syndication, as the Flintstones did...except there wont be anymore new eps

I think id leave that up to the young lady, but, my own feeling is, a handshake is fine on a first date....give them something to look forward to ;)

Id like to see itall, but, if i had only one choice Osaka, i think, they have some truly amazing temples there and Shonen Knife to boot ;)
