oh well, can't say I'll miss it!
When it started on TV LAND, I watched 3 episodes, then I stopped. I didn't think it was as funny as I remembered.
Scoobiedoo30 05-10-2006, 10:15 AM Maybe Some day TV Land will have The Adams Family on there Regural Schedule.
Pavan 05-10-2006, 10:16 AM Addams Family will return to Sundays starting in July, when 48-hour marathon weekends are scheduled to end.
Scoobiedoo30 05-10-2006, 10:30 AM I will be glad when The Adams Family will be Back on The TV Land Schedule I just wish that TV Land would air The Adams Family
on Sunday's at 9:30 am Central Time.
TVJunkie101 05-10-2006, 10:34 AM Doesn't the contract expire in September or something ... or is that The Munsters? Or both? LOL.
Scoobiedoo30 05-10-2006, 11:16 AM I am not really Sure when The Adams Family Contract Expires.
Addams expires in September - I believe The Munsters expires in October. I have a feeling they'll renew The Munsters, but I doubt they will Addams.

Go to iOffer.com they have the complete series for 17.95 including shipping. That's where I bought mine from.
papasmurf93750 05-11-2006, 07:52 PM That is such a rip off. Adams family was one of the best tv shows on tv land. I really injoyed watching it.:(
comedyfreak 05-12-2006, 03:47 AM No problem...I figure that the episodes might not be perfect as it's a dvd r, but it will hold me over until they finally do decide to release the show on dvd.
tv star collector 05-12-2006, 08:18 AM As part of its special week-long Mother's Day marathon, TV Land is airing two
episodes of THE ADDAMS FAMILY tonight (Friday, May 12th) from 9 p..m. to
10 p.m. (8-9 p.m. Central time). It follows two episodes of THE MUNSTERS.
The episodes are coming up in about 17 minutes [EST]! Don't miss them!

Just wondering, are these original episodes, or recorded off of TV?
tv star collector 05-13-2006, 08:09 AM The two-parter "Morticia's Romance" was interesting. I had never seen it before
and didn't know about how Gomez and Morticia met (or that he was originally
betrothed to her sister Ophelia). It's interesting, too, that in this episode's
flashback Gomez meets Uncle Fester for the first time. In the movies, Fester
was Gomez's brother--but in the TV series, he is Morticia's uncle.
Trivia note: In Charles Addams' NEW YORKER magazine cartoons (on which
both the TV show and movie are based), none of the characters had names!
The names were all invented for the TV show.

All the tv shows I've been getting were recorded from Prime TV in Canada, they are 21 to 22 minutes long at least with Welcome Back Kotter, and Courtship of Eddie's Father is 23 to 24 minutes long. Not sure about the Addams Family until I get them.

These are my favorite episodes, I've seen reruns of them before and they are good.
OK, thanks CF.
I agree, the "Morticia's Romance" episodes were great episodes. I'm glad I recorded both parts. :D

also in the cartoons in THE NEW YORKER, "Thing" was just mentioned sometimes, but never seen. They never even said what it is. He was ussauly refered to as "the thing".

Oh, that's interesting. I didn't know that, but the only cartoons that I've seen
are the ones collected in the Fireside book "MONSTER RALLY."

Pavan 05-18-2006, 06:04 PM Now TV Land will not bring back The Addams Family on July 1. The Munsters will air in its slot instead. More details will come at the General Sitcoms board later tonight or tomorrow under the TV Land July thread.
"The Addams Family" must get really low ratings compared to "The Munsters"; considering TM is airing 3x a day 5 days a week, and the 5:00AM airing will probably remain on weekends, and TAF isn't even airing. I hate to hear that. :(
Scoobiedoo30 05-19-2006, 10:01 AM I am am sorry to heere that The Adam Family will not be Returneing to TV Land Schedule
tiff7 09-11-2006, 03:26 PM Rats, I'd rather have Addams than Munsters. It's on Fridays
tvparadise 09-23-2006, 01:20 PM I'm sad to see this show go from TV Land.
I really never saw much of it until this past month. Sundays at 9am (where TV Land has aired the show for most of its current run) never worked out too well for me.
I've enjoyed watching it over the last month on Friday mornings.
I had seen The Munsters quite a bit over the years and I've got to say, I really like The Addams Family better. I just enjoy its style of humor better. I think Munsters was more enjoyable when I was young. Now, it's just a little too silly for me.
Scoobiedoo30 09-23-2006, 02:25 PM Maybe another cable Station will Pick up The Adams Family.
