Was anybody else let down after seeing The Village. I thought It was gonna be this great movie, but the end did shock me, but It was still not all that great.

Yes, I was let down and also annoyed. I'm all for films that have something relevant to say, but I have little patience for films that are advertised as mere entertainment and end up being heavy-handed "message" movies. I'm sure many from the left loved it, but I've grown weary of the liberal agenda getting gracelessly crammed into mainstream films and TV. If it were done with any sense of style, that would be fine, but it usually ends up being laborious and the message jarringly out of place. I expected better from Shyamalan.

I was disappointed with the film as well... I sincerely hope his next movie shows a return to form for Mr. Shyamalan...
