there was this documentary on last night talking abt black oriented television shows. They of course talked abt Good Times. There was a black television historian by the name of Alan Gansburg (sp?) who was talking abt the show and how Monte & Evans left the show after one year due to conflicts abt the show's writing and so forth.
He also stated how when the black crew (writers, producers, etc.) would talk abt GT after the show was no longer on the air, they talked negatively abt their experiences and the show itself. BUT! when the white, non-black crew members would talk abt their experiences and the show itself, it was nothing but positive things. It was a very interesting documentary. They also talked with Marla Gibbs of the jeffersons. I will post a thread there abt that.
They also talked abt early black actors, etc. and of course, the Cosby Show.

I was up with my 6 month old late last night and I saw that it was on, But when I caught it, it was almost over. I saw it when they were talking about Benson, Julia and then Cosby. When I they got to Cosby I turned the TV off and went to bed. I checked to see when it was coming back on but it wasn't in my Guide.
