With all the myspace questions that have been asked around here lately, I'm thinking maybe there should be an official myspace thread here at S.O. LOL!! Anyway, I have a question, and since there are so many myspacer's here at S.O., I figured this would be a good place to ask. I know myspace has alot of secret codes for different special features and stuff, including the top 16, format changes, etc, but does anyone here know whether or not there's a way, or some kind of code that would let you see who has viewed your profile?? I don't think there is, because Iv'e pretty much looked through the entire site, and haven't seen anything, but like I said, with all the codes and stuff, I just don't know. Does anyone here have any idea whether or not there's a way to do that?? I'm always curious about who from my past has checked it out, and I think it would be cool if there was a way. Thanks!!

i don't think there is Brad, because you know those little post in the bullentin area that people will maek that says "respost this and you'll magically be able to see who has viewed your myspace".... well, that kind of spam kinda tells me you can't. But it'd be cool if you could.

I was a member on a site where we could view whoever looks at your myspace profile. For the the whole week, it was pretty cool. It was a message on the site that Tom was going to see whoever had the code in their profile and delete their account, saying it was an invasion of privacy. :confused: I don't really know but I didn't want to get deleted so I just took my code out. :D

Invasion of privacy?? Excuse me TOM, but I think I have a right to know who's looking in my windows, so I should think I have every right to see who looked at my profile. I bet mine is just a bunch of people I don't know or care to, but it's still my right as page owner.

Thanks guys!! I think I'll contact myspace directly, and ask them if there's a way to do this. So far Iv'e never gotten an actual response from them on anything, but maybe this time I'll get lucky. But thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated.

As far as it being an invasion of privacy goes, I don't get that. Myspace is a place where people post up profiles, pictures, blogs, and some of the most intimate details about themselves, and their lives. If it's privacy that a person is looking for, then I don't think myspace is a place they'd enjoy.

it IS an invasion of privacy, simple as that. that's why this site has an invisible mode option. the feature isn't just about "seeing who's been viewing my profile", but "let other people see precisely what i've been doing online" as well. and not everyone is comfortable with that. you have to put yourself in the situation. i would feel violated if people could find out i've been viewing their profiles regularly.

Yeah, it was hilarious when Friendster added that because Mr. Austin and his best friend looked at the one Genna and I share :lol:

Yeah, now that I think of it, you bring up a good point. I know a few people who have had problems with weirdos and stalkers on myspace, and something like this would just give them another avenue to harrass, and stalk people. I never really thought of it that way.

Here's an idea... Maybe they could give people the option of whether or not they wanted other's knowing when they've viewed their profile. That way, if a person wants to keep their privacy, they could just choose the option of keeping their viewing habits private. Just an idea.
