Guys,

This may apply to all versions INCLUDING the Season 4 DVD. (Note that a poster had mentioned this to me before on the forum, but I wanted to "throw this out for everyone to respond.)

The scene is the famous one just after Marcia gets hit in the nose with the football. After she says, "Oh my nose!!!" Bobby says, "Marcia, you ok?" Peter says, "We're really sorry." Than ALL VERSIONS cut to Marcia holding an icebag to her face as Mike and Carol talk about taking her to a doctor.

I seem to remember a line where either Peter or Bobby says, "Use your hands to catch the ball. Not your head." It would be back BEFORE the late 80's cuts and I seem to remember it from mid 80's airing from TBS. (We got cable in late 1985.) It would be anytime before the late 80's up to 1986 I would say. TBS/Syndication were known to use the same prints. TV Land used different prints when they got the broadcast rights in June 1998. So, if anyone has a tape of this episode that is old enough, please check and varify for us Brady fans! Thanks!

Jack

Ok. This is pretty far fetched, but did you see any of the off-takes that had the red-headed sister (I can't think of her name) who was supposedly cut from the show (but was actually added to the film later)? I'm thinking she may have been the one who said that. This is REALLY vague in my mind, but that's the first thing I thought of.

LOL!!! Many fell for that gag,

When Nick at Nite acquired The Brady Bunch in the summer of 1998, they decided to do a parody of a "Lost Brady" sister named "Phobe Brady." Phobe was supposedly a mischevous charactor who would mess up scenes and was cut from all scenes when the show went into syndication. Interviews with some of the cast lead many to believe that there really WAS a "lost Brady." However, it was nothing more than an elaborate joke used by Nick at Nite to promote the addition of The Brady Bunch to their lineup!

Ah, yes, Phoebe. All I could think of was Penelope, and I knew that wasn't right. I guess the interviews did make it look more believable. I'm not sure I saw any other than what they showed during the Marathon a couple of years ago during the anniversary celebration. Come to think of it, I may have the one in question on tape. I'll have to look for it.
