It was suppose to be about VICI's evil twin and so it was destined to be a spin-off, but it got canned in the process. Right? I remember the Hollywood episode well and that it seemed open for a next episode, but that seem to be out of their hands rather quickly.

You're right. The spin-off was going to be called Too Good to Be True, but it died in the planning stages. So after that 96th episode, no more Vicki, no more Jamie, no more Ted, no more Joan, etc. (except in reruns, which haven't been seen in the U.S. since 1996).

There are theories posted around the internet that this show was initially supposed to be on the new network at the time (FOX) but the programmers thought it was too kiddy and cutesy for the audience they were aiming for. If this show was on ABC's TGIF, it would have lasted longer.

I really did not know that. Thanks...if that had happened.....but it did not, so that was it. I wondered what became of the cast members.....probably we could see them on Small Wonder as they remember the show themselves.

My teacher last semester, Paul Chitlik, wrote the final episode. He just wrote it, not knowing it was going to be the last episode. He also wrote 5 or 6 other episodes from the last season.

When something is left unsaid, it becomes canned...

Update!

I came across a Small Wonder semi-official site; www.smallwonder.tv and they explained the theories about Fox dropping the show due to their lack of interest in despite the good ratings it was pulling throughout the run.

The site also mentioned how Howard Leeds wanted Fox to capitalize off Vici's popularity by making merchandise, however these ideas never were implemented either. It would have been nice to have some SW stuff.
