with you about the guy who interviewed Shirley and also played on Good Times. I could barley recognize him in the What's Happening Episode. It was like it was another person. So Different from the CLARK GRISWOLD character he played on Good Times-lol

I knew that you would be watching this episode carefully. I don't recall saying that he was quirky or dorky like he was on GT...but the fact that he played a guy who again was standing up for a person who he felt was not being given a fair deal. on GT, the family, he felt, were deserving of a loan and he felt real bad when they didn't get it in the end. On WH, he knew that Shirley had the potential to be a good secretary if she was given the chance.

The funny thing about this ep is that after Shirley was rejected for the job of secretary, she never tried to leave Rob's Place again-lol It's like she knew that Rob's Place is where she belonged and had no business trying to go elsewhere
