I had always assumed that the old man died and when the daughter went to visit Raj and Dee that he had died sometime back. Now, after watching it last night, I am wondering, do you think he just recently died, say, that day or the day before? I would think that if he died, she would let Raj and Dee know right away so they could say their goodbyes at his funeral. I can't see her visiting them way after the fact. Funny how our perceptions change after so many years.

I haven't seen that one in a while, but I remember thinking that it seemed like some time had passed before the daughter came to tell them. I don't remember her telling them about any services that would be taking place. Maybe they'll show it again before the marathon is over.

That's correct!
Spike had already passed away when his daughter came by the Thomas house to update Raj and the gang.
She said, "Yes, it's been three weeks, in fact" when Raj made the statement about it having been a while since the last time that they all talked to her.
And she also told Raj and the rest that her father would have been honored to give them his autograph on a baseball, etc.
Truly touching; but yeah, the man had already passed on by this point in the episode.

Once again, I have never seen Dee care so much for one person, not even Raj. She seemed to be really affected by Spike's condition. I didn't know she had feelings.
