How do you feel about it? Do you gossip or know someone who does? Have you have a bad experience with gossip?

I'll admit that I gossip about people that I don't like, but only with a handful of people, and I don't divulge destructive information or secrets to others.

I never gossip about people I love or really care about. I don't talk behind anyone's back, unless I know I'm being trashed by that person.

I knew a woman before who was constantly gossiping about everyone, and I mean everyone. Her parents, her own kids, friends, and of course I found out, me. I always suspected it anyway. Figured if she's ripping apart her own kids, then nobody is off limits. She was a gossip, and everyone knew it and stopped confiding in her.

I'll tell you one thing..Guys are 100 times worse than girls are even if we won't admit it when it comes to gossip and trash talking.

I try to stay clear of it, unless I have a problem with someone. I hate people that need to run their mouthes all the time about someone, time to grow up.

Nah, I don't. Unless someone else starts gossiping about someone, then sometimes I'll join in. My sister is always asking me, "so is there any interesting gossip up there?" And I always tell her no. It's nothing I really pay a whole lot of attention to.

Only people who I absolutely dislike and there aren't many of those. If I do gossip, it is only truthful stuff and only to people that I trust to confide in. I never start rumors about a person that aren't true, that is only hurtful and doesn't make me any better than the person I dislike.

Yes, when I was working a lot of gossip went on and I would sometimes go along with it. I know people at work talked a lot about me too. A couple people even started a rumour that I was a lesbian. It's one thing to say things about people that are true but to spread a flat out lie about someone is really bad I think. I myself never went so far as to do a thing like that. Now that my lifestyle has changed so drastically I no longer have time for gossip or even see a lot of people anymore except the doctor.

I have to admit, i am a bit of a gossip.

Can I help it if people like to talk about others in front of me?

gossip is bad, but i don't know one person who's never gossiped. everyone does it. it's human nature, i guess.

I gossip sometimes, I'm not going to lie. Usually though, whatever I say behind someone's back, I eventually end up saying to their face.

Ditto on this. There have been a couple of times I was told VERY juicy gossip, and I didn't pass it along and so it died or slowed down. I once heard "when you listen to gossip and pass it along, you give life to it and it grows." So true.

Wow.... that sounds soooo much like a couple of my maternal aunts, especially one in particular. She is all gossip about ANYONE, even her own three kids. In fact, there have been quite a few family-related arguments or silent treatments because of someone who was gossiped about within the family. These family members really make it really annoying and very juvenile to hang around for gatherings or family parties. Ugh.

To a degree, however, every one of us gossips. It may be so insignificant that we can't tell but we all do it as we are human. Some might just do it more intense than others. We just might not realize it is gossip in one form.

I have to admit I gossip at times, but I am trying not to as much. It can get bad at my job and I get sick of it usually, so I'm trying to avoid it.

So do I. My old roommate started talking about me behind my back, so I did the same. I couldn't stand her.
