View Full Version : COFFEE DRINKERS: How do you like your coffee?
Ireneparalegal 04-15-2006, 03:12 PM Are you one of those people that have to have a Starbucks coffee? Latte? Coffee Bean?
Not me. I love my home brewed Folgers Breakfast Blend mild...with coffe mate...no flavoring...just some sugar.
Janice 04-15-2006, 03:16 PM I like Maxwell House Bold French Roast. It's not flavored, but it's stronger than their other blends. I love coffee with sugar and cream, but I drink it with Equal and milk.
I think Starbuck's coffee is too strong and makes me crazy. I also think it tastes like mud.
Dunkin' Donut's coffee used to be great, but now it's so weak. I can buy a bag and use a ton of it to make it stronger, but it would put me in the poorhouse.
I love my Maxwell House.
PZelda 04-15-2006, 03:20 PM MMMMMMMMMMMM, coffee!! I have been drinking coffee for 16 years...I just love my coffee! It doesn't matter which coffeeshop I go to, I've gotta have my coffee.
My coffee has to be strong (think espresso). If I am at home, I add two spoonfuls of creamer - one plain, one flavored. Yum! If I stop at a coffeeshop, a hot latte is usually my choice. As of late, I have been picking up a vanilla latte whenever I stop at a coffeeshop.
I have sampled some truly fabulous coffee in the different places I've traveled through. My favorite coffeeshops would have to be Caffe Nero (http://www.caffenero.co.uk), which is located exclusively in the UK. Also, Cosi (http://www.getcosi.com/), which isn't just a coffeeshop but is also like a Subway. They have locations around the US, but the majority of Cosi locations are in NYC. There was a Cosi right across the street from the hotel I stayed in while I was in NYC, and I LOVED it. Yum! If they opened one here, I think I would live there...Their food is simply fab.
As for the brand I prefer...Doesn't matter, as long as they have the strongest flavor available at the time. I've always been partial to MJB 100% Colombian, but it really doesn't matter. I think at the moment I have Folgers Gourment coffee.
Brian Damage 04-15-2006, 04:34 PM At home, my wife buys Folger's Half Caff to limit the amount of caffiene I take. My heart started racing from drinking so much coffee. It is real good, you can't tell the difference. I take mine with milk and 1 1/2 sugars.
If I'm away from home, I always get Dunkin Donuts coffee. I really enjoy the flavor.

I just became one last year. I just drink it at work, mainly. I will have decaf with some flavored cream and a few packs of Equal or Splenda since I am a borderline diabetic. I can have sugar, I just have to watch it.
Courtnee 04-15-2006, 04:45 PM i like the coffee at Books a Million. They have delishous flavors. My favorite is the smores kind and a brownie......*now wants some bam coffee*
vashti1999 04-15-2006, 05:13 PM I need at least six sugar packs and milk/cream. We have flavored coffees at work: French Vanilla, Hazelnut Cream, etc. Like 'em all.
swedeace 04-15-2006, 09:39 PM I can take or leave coffee, and I never go withdrawls if I don't drink it.
When I do drink home-brewed coffee, I like to pour about half a cup and add loads of cream and sugar. I like it sweet (but not overly sweet) and creamy. Mmmmmm.....
As far as coffee houses go, I like the lattes, Mexican style coffees (with chocolate and sugar), Frappuccinos, etc....
AllIWantIsYourClutch 04-15-2006, 10:24 PM I love Dunkin Donuts coffee. With a little cream and a little sugar. But any coffee is good, as long as its somewhat strong. The coffee at the gas station by my house tastes like water and its gross.
I also realy really like iced caramel lattes from DD.
But my absolute favorite coffee beverages are vanilla lattes from Starbucks.
Georgia's on my Mind 04-15-2006, 10:33 PM I think Starbuck's coffee is too strong and makes me crazy. I also think it tastes like mud.

woah, woah, woah....Janice, that hit pretty deep.

Cosi is really really good.
80sTrivia 04-15-2006, 10:35 PM I prefer mine home-brewed, with two packets of Nutra-sweet and two tablespoons of Sugar Free French Vanilla flavored creamer! :)

I also drink "half coffee" at home and decaf (usually) when I'm out. I take it with a little milk (or whatever) and, deepending on where I drink it, at least two packets of sugar substitute.
I don't drink Starbucks coffee, but I really like their Double Shot espresso drink.

I haven't been to a Dunkin Donuts in quite a while! The last one I can honestly remember going to was the one in Mentor, Ohio, which is where I used to live.
Georgia's on my Mind 04-15-2006, 11:06 PM Seeing how I work at Starbucks...I love everything Starbucks. But by the same token I don't drink coffee or milk because I sing professionally.
CollegeDropout 04-17-2006, 10:31 AM When I am not in the mood to spend 4 bucks on a latte from Starbucks, I make coffee at home and its Starbucks blend, but then I add a ****load of coffeemate creme which makes it taste oh so nice
peter may 04-17-2006, 11:23 AM I like it with the vanilla coffeemate creamer
Zebra 3 04-17-2006, 11:56 AM Maxwell House Half Caff with a touch of sugar and lots of 1% milk. http://images.bravenet.com/common/images/smilies/coffeemug.gif
Yooch 04-17-2006, 11:31 PM Strength of the coffee doesn't matter to me, but it's got to be fresh. I don't generally go for Starbuck's or other 'gourmet' coffees.
If I do go out with friends, standard diner coffee is fine. When I'm home, a well-rounded teaspoon of Taster's Choice in nearly boiling water, with one sugar and liquid Coffeemate Creamer is what I like.
Folgers, black and strong.
Brad Russ 03-17-2007, 12:50 PM I don't like coffee anymore. I only like Espresso's, or Cappuccino's. Yep, I'm a pansy!!
Already Gone 03-17-2007, 01:40 PM I like Green Mountain brand coffee. My favorite flavors are Golden French Toast and Island Coconut to name a few. I take my coffee with cream and lately, i've only been needing one packet of Splenda.
