What words, if any, do you find that you either misspell, or have to take your time with typing it out, writing it out, because you get confused with how many "s" are in there, etc?
For me, I am a great speller. I was in spelling bee contests all the time throughout grade school. However, there are a few words I always have to slow down and try to remember how they are spelled, for example here is my list of words I have problems with:

VACUUM: I always want to add another "c" and for some reason an "e" on the end. As a matter of fact, typing it here, I was doing it real slow. LOL

CANCELED: I always type it this way "CANCELLED"...I have seen it spelled both ways, I am not even sure which is the correct spelling...or is it one of those words that can be spelled both ways? I have never bothered to find out the correct spelling...

EMBARRASSMENT: I will type or write out the word and notice that I put only one "R" and it requires two.

Oh Gosh. Too many to count. I have Dyslexia so I am constantly misspelling and getting things backwards. Two words I can think of off hand are Weird and Tomorrow. I used to always spell them Wierd and Tommorrow until I finally got it right. I always have a dictionary close by when I'm at the computer or handwriting a letter.
BTW Irene,Canceled can be spelled either way. I just looked it up.

There are actually two ways of spelling "cancelled" and "travelled." It depends if you are writing in British English or American, I believe.

My fingers have a habit of adding a "u" in the American English word "behavior" to make it as the British spelling of "behaviour." I tend to catch it immediately and correct it to American, but once in a while I will forget.

"Restaurant" took me a while too but now lately, "surprise" is a tough one for me. It seems so simple but when I go to write a story or something, and I type the word, I first type it "suprise" and then think, is there another "r" and then when I put it in, it doesn't look right. Ahhh too many words!!!

I sometimes spell surprise wrong also

just remember, to spell believe that the word "LIE" is in it. We were told to remember that LIE and BELIEVE are almost opposites of each other. I also remember being told "Believe the LIE", to remember how to spell it.

Also "i" before "e" except after "c"...
