WASHINGTON PayPal says it takes its customers' privacy "really seriously."
It says it's looking at its options, in the face of a government request for help in finding taxpayers who hide income overseas.

A federal court has given the Internal Revenue Service a go-ahead to pursue PayPal customer information.

The company that enables money transfers online says it's just received the summons and is reviewing its options.

The I-R-S wants PayPal to hand over information about American taxpayers who have bank accounts, credit cards or debit cards issued by financial institutions in some 30 countries known as tax havens
