I love oriental decor. My living room is my fave room in my house because I collect Buddhas, I have Chinese lady statues on shelves, just different items. Everyone raves abt my collections.

I am a huge Survivor fan. I have been since season one. I love this show. I am addicted. I wish there were more fans of this show here on SO.

When I was ten, me and my friends went to the local mall and we stole bags of balloons. We wanted to have a water balloon fight. Well, we got caught and I was sooooooooo scared. They didn't call our parents but the security people told us they were going to do that, so like a naive stupid little girl that I was, I decided to tell my dad. I felt so stupid afterwards especially since the security people never did call my dad.

:lol: Normally I keep things like that to myself, but as I was reading this thread, I thought, "Hey, I'm getting a bum rap here."

-I am probably one of the most easily jealous people around. Little things just linger around and bother me as I become jealous over other people..... and my some of my friends have seen it as well.... and I have shown my jealousy over some friends, too. It's later embarrassing to me....

-I am getting addicted to step aerobics and some working out.

-I'm such a money spender and still make some ends work to make sure I get a yearly vacation.

My two friends and I were going to clubs and doing a lot of "Party Drugs." We were rebelling I guess you could say. One day they got it into their heads they could pull this robbery off. I was not a part of any of the plans. I believe they stole something like 360, 000 dollars with ski masks and bebe guns. They had someone from the inside let them in. It was pretty elaborate. The only thing that I had a part in was my friend's car was registered under my name and it was used as the getaway car. Within two weeks everybody involved was caught and arrested. One friend did 5 years upstate, while the other friend got 5 years probabtion. The judge went easy on him because he lost both his parents at a very young age. I don't speak to either one any more. Not because of this incident, but we just lost touch.

We weren't good friends, but we knew each other very well. He use to comp me and a couple of other friends to a few of his parties. I met him during Peter Gatien's birthday party at the Limelight. His problem was he did too many drugs. He became paranoid. That certainly didn't help with the fact that he was egotistical at times too.

I have no idea. I guess the Feds were more interested in the actual robbery than my faux pas. I had nothing to do with the robbery itself. I am a distant relative of the famous poet Robert Browning. I am also related to the famous singer Perry Como; my father's grandmother was his first cousin.

I have been really busy with college, which accounts for why I don't post at SO as much I used to. I have four days of classes a week, although the schedule isn't as hectic as it was last semester, when I came home from school in the evening three of the four school days. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I got home at 7:00 PM. I am one semester away from going to a four-year university, preferably Cal State, Fullerton. I also am interested in CSU, Northridge. I am looking to major in Radio/TV/Film, although it will be the latter two that I will be going into.

When I transfer to a four-year university next year, I plan on auditioning for the Jeopardy! College Championship. My oldest sister was a contestant in 2004. It was actually she that got me interested in the show again, and not Ken Jennings (She appeared after Jennings lost). I watched the show during the mid-1990s but quit because I didn't learn a lot of the material, me being in elementary school. Now I am a fan all over again.

I still live at home but that will change in January, when I'll move out.

I prefer the classic TV shows and it all began when I was little. I would watch Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite a lot. This was back in the days when there was no digital cable or DVRs, Nick at Nite aired Mister Ed, Get Smart, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Mork and Mindy, etc., and we all had to grind our own flour.

Yeah after I had my last baby I was bored sitting at home all day. So I went to Michaels and I bought like a thousand Rhinestones and some mosaic glue and I just started putting them on my Phones. And then I bought Fabric glue and I glued some on my little girls clothes and on some of my Jeans LOL.

I like reading about psychology. It's the main reason I like the show Criminal Minds, because all the criminals are varying degrees of insane.

I went to the doctor and the only thing that she really did was take a Xray of my head and that's how she saw the sinus blockage that I have, It's really bad. And I also got a shot that was suppose to drain my sinuses but it didn't. And I was put on antibiotics for two weeks.

But my doctor told me to that when I get bad headaches to take a hot clothe and put it on the spot where it's hurting, and to take some Advil cold and sinus. The Hot towel really helps me because it relieves the pain, I'll keep heating up my towel and applying a little pressure, for about 10 minutes. regular pain pills like Tylenol and Aleve doesn't help me. It has to be the sinus cold and flu type pain reliever that helps me alot.

I've been to Europe 6 times. Mostly to Poland, but I've also been to the UK, Slovakia, and Austria. I'm wanting to go to Germany, Italy, Ukraine, Slovenia, and Croatia within the next few years. I already speak Polish, Spanish, and German and I've been dabbling a bit in Ukrainian. I've already figured out the Cyrillic alphabet, so I can get by by mixing Polish and Ukrainian. Then just learn some Croatian. Yea, I'm a freak for travel/languages. but YOU asked Irene. :p

Ah, I see. So it's best to get a prescribed medication from a doctor. Hmmm.... I am going to eventually get that doctor appointment taken care of.

Yeah, I see what you mean about being used to traditional ways because of your family and surroundings. I can relate with you in that manner with my Mexican maternal relatives. The food, the Spanish language, the surroundings, the music, etc.... and it's like without actually being IN Mexico. And I understand what you mean about going back and some things are the same and other things aren't. When I went to visit relatives in Mexico, it almost still feels like being "at home" minus the Metric measure of units and stuff like that.

Yeah, isn't it just.....awesome? I can feel it "in the air" and the people and wow... well, you know what I mean. It's just so enticing experiencing and soaking in the culture. :)

Yes i did!! lol...I envy people who can travel. I love to travel, but I have a fear of flying. 9/11 just made it totally worse for me. I always travel by car. Even last year to Oregon, Washington and Canada (didn't make it past the border...:mad: ) we went by car.

Yeah, the Welland canal was rerouted to the other side of town in 1973, so the part of the city i live on is now a man-made island between the old ( left ) and new ( right ) channels...the yellow dot is approx where my house is

* Waves back *:wave: Well, the old canal channel was much nicer, the banks were covered in willow trees and the ships were so close you felt you could almost touch them...the new channel is almost barren and is on a private gmt road....When I was little, we'd picnic ( Mom, Dad,me and my little bro ) in the park by the bridge in my Avatar and watch the ships passing by for a few lovely summer hours, I miss that with the new channel. ( Which has tunnels instead of bridges )

- I'm a total cat person. When I get my own place, I want to have at least two or three cats that will probably end up being like my children
- I've never been athletic (sports just don't interest me in any form). I love to walk, though.
- Some of my favorite t.v. shows are: Three's Company, That 70s Show, The Wonder Years, Third Rock from the Sun, Family Guy, The Simpsons, and South Park. I also loooove true crime shows. Even though I love these shows to death, I don't really consider myself a sitcom fanatic.
- I've been a Beatles fan since I was in 8th or 9th grade. I've even started going to Beatlefests (my first one was in 2003, and I just got back from one a few weeks ago).
- I've always envisioned myself as a "career woman" rather than a Mom, but I don't shun the idea of having kids one day. I love the names Jacob Holden and John Riley for boys; Kayla Madison and Autumn Alexandria for girls :)
- Whatever happens in life and no matter which career I end up in, I know I have to do something with writing. When I was a kid, I used to dream that I'd end up like Stephen King (pffft, fat chance).
- I'm a pretty sensitive person, even though I'm not very girly by any means.
- I love the colors blue, purple, and green
- Even though I love being productive, I can't stand school anymore. I'm ready to move on.

I now like provalone and swiss cheese. I use to hate it, but as I got older, I grew into it. I use to love american cheese, but now, that doesn't taste too good....only on cheeseburgers.

I hated cheese as a youngster...i love it now!!! I hate American Cheese too...give me montery jack or sharp cheddar...BUT NOT ON MY HAMBURGERS!

I would sip beer when I was young too. My family would have parties and there is a photo of me when i was two years old and I have a beer bottle in my mouth! My family tells me i would walk around and just sweet as you please picking up bottles of beer.

I rarely drink now, but when I do, I am sooooo happy! LOL

I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but my boyfriend has wanted to buy a house up north...but I told him i would never leave this wonderful city...i could go on and on how lucky and blessed we are to live here...but my main reason is because I love my sister to death and her family and my family are the only family we have. Our parents are both dead. Our brother passed away 4 years ago. He never married or had children. He was so ill during his last 15 years he was here. Yes, we have aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. but as for A FAMILY, it's me and her, her spouse, her five kids (she had six but one died when he was 12) her daughter-in-law. then there is me and my boyfriend and my three kids. I couldn't bear being away from her. I need to see her at least twice a week. We talk on the phone. We work together on Mondays. We have coffee and/or breakfast on Saturdays. I couldn't leave. It would tear me apart.

I wish I could grow a fro and braids. But I'm white so my hair doesn't grow that way.

I get provolone cheese at the deli all the time. They have mild and sharp, and I get the sharp.

My husband loves Swiss cheese. Lorraine Swiss is the best brand, imo. It's softer in texture and is sharper.

Hmmm....kinda-sorta what I was trying to say, but I know what you mean. It is one of those decisions what is most comfortable for you.

I'm disease phobic. Even the slightest thought of something stomach related scares me into a panic. Actually typing this sentence didn't really help. It's made me extremely fearful of working a full time job.

Mine is losing my parents.

I don't really desire to leave here either, because my family is here. Actually, the only ones I would miss on a daily basis are my folks, and to be perfectly honest, I can't stand the thought of living in a different city than them, let alone a different state. I've pretty much seen them everyday for 26 years (minus the time I went away to college for a year) and it's not something I feel like changing.
