View Full Version : Sequels you would LIKE to see
savageamusement 04-13-2006, 10:51 AM They add on to movies all the time.
Sister Act 2, we could have done without.
There is talk of the Indiana Jones 4 coming and Oceans 13 after that
but what movie dropped off that you wish they had kept going with?
At least one sequel?
For me I have to say
Goonies, I coudl have easily seen another with that cast.
Romancing the Stone, Jewel of the Nile- One more would have been easy enough and problayb enjoyable
Ghostbusters- I had always hoped for a third.
Those are off the top of my head-
What about you? Anything you think movie makers missed the chance on?
Brian Damage 04-14-2006, 10:20 PM I agree with you on Ghostbusters, I always wanted to see a third one. I wouldn't mind a third installment of Toy Story and luckily that is coming out.
webuster 04-17-2006, 05:01 AM First Wives Club- OK I can't think of what else the characters could do, but there were plans for a sequel but the actresses weren't being paid enough, so it never happened.
Beaches- there's a second novel, they should film it!
I agree with you about Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile. I thought the second movie was kind of disappointing, but if they turned it into a trilogy it might really work out.
Personally, I'm still waiting for that Rocky Horror sequel Richard O'Brien has been promising for twenty years. I think we should just accept that it's never gonna happen. It'd never be anywhere as good as the original anyways.
A third Father of the Bride movie might be worth seeing, as the first two were both wonderful. I don't know what the plot could possibly be though. Maybe father of the groom? ;)
gidgetgrape 04-25-2006, 02:39 PM I always wonder what the characters in The Slums of Beverly Hills might be doing now. Is Viv's family still driving around? What happened to Rita's baby?
savageamusement 04-26-2006, 03:29 AM Classic Gidget that movie was fantastic--would love to see that
Dragonbear 04-26-2006, 03:34 AM History of the World Part II

dlemond 05-11-2006, 03:34 PM A Christmas Story
I know it would be impossible to top that Christmas of Jean Shepherd (author), but he must have had another memorable one. (plus they made some of his other memoirs into small movies)
The Big Lebowski
The further adventures of The Dude could prove very funny- or terrible- but I'd like to see it.
Night of the Comet
I know most of you never saw this little sci-fi/horror comedy gem from 1984, but there was potential for a sequel.
tv star collector 05-11-2006, 06:41 PM How about a sequel to "E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial"? Maybe they could show
us what his home planet looks like. That would be interesting.
tdf4077 05-19-2006, 07:02 PM ET'd be cool....
What about some more back to the futures? Also, what about like Forrest Gump?

That'd be cool, but I have the re-released DVD and they interviewed Steven Spielberg as part of the extras on the DVD and he said that he would never do a sequel. :(
The Flying Dutchmans 05-19-2006, 11:07 PM Id like to see karate kid 5 daniels final lesson, but of course morita is dead now so he couldnt be shown, it would have been nice to see william zabka return as daniels friend as well.

Ive always said id like to see back to the future 4, only this 1 would take place in the future.
D-Dey 05-26-2006, 01:13 AM Believe it or not, Flamingos Forever a proposed sequel to John Waters' Pink Flamingos that was canned starting with the death of Edith Massey. In Waters' book Trash Trio, he has two prologues, one of which included his idea of who he'd cast in a remake if such a project were forced upon him at gunpoint. Many of his would-be castmembers for a remake would be ripe for the sequel.
I also would've loved to see Beavis and Butt-head: Another Movie
Race's Girl 05-26-2006, 05:21 AM Either Thunderbirds 2: Ring Of Fire, Team America World Police 2: Back In Action or Fantastic Four 2: The Moleman
comedyfreak 05-27-2006, 05:23 AM I can't wait for:
Batman 2
Spiderman 3
Bewitched 2 this time with Jim Carrey as Darrin
Indiana 4
savageamusement 05-28-2006, 01:48 PM Yeah I would love to see another Back to the future---even MJ Fox's heath permited it-
I would also love to see another Jaws
Too much technology to miss out on a real good shark sequel.
Something to get Jaws 4 out of my head.
Jo_Luvs_Ketchup 05-28-2006, 11:37 PM I would love to see a sequel to Beaches, Steel Magnolias, and Stepmom!
passionsfan79 06-04-2006, 07:45 PM how about a back to the future 4? Even though I know the movie is from the late 80s
