IIRC, the 1st season (new class) after the original group left was horrible and maybe the entire cast was replaced (or at least most of it). I don't recall ever seeing these episodes in syndication. The main male character was doing a ripoff of Zack. I know I'm not recalling this incorrectly. Someone help!!!!

After Zack, Screech, Slater, Kelly, Jessie & Lisa graduated in the 1992-93 season, TNBC replaced the show with "Saved by the Bell: The New Class."
It starred -
Robert Sutherland Telfer as Scott Erickson (The New Zack)
Isaac Lidsky as Weasel Wyzell (The New Screech)
Jonathan Angel as Tommy De Luca (The New Slater)
Natalia Cigliuti as Lindsay Warner (The New Kelly)
Bianca Lawson as Megan Jones (Lisa/Jessie Combo)
Bonnie Russavage as Vicki Needleman (Somewhat Original Character)
and of course, Dennis Haskins as Mr. Belding

That format lasted 13 episodes. When it returned, Scott, Weasel and Vicki were gone and three newbies were there: Brian, Bobby and Rachel. Screech returned to Bayside as Belding's administrative assistant (aka wacky sidekick) They act as if those three had been there all along. That lasted 26 episodes. The third season had another major cast change. Megan, Brian and Bobby left and got replaced with Ryan, R.J. and Maria. More changes came as Tommy, Lindsay and R.J. left. Season four introduced Eric, Nicky (a guy) and Katie. At the beginning of season five, Rachel was gone and Liz came. At the beginning of season six, Ryan was gone and Tony was there. The sixth season was split in two to make a seventh season. In the finally, the gang graduated and Mr. Belding left Bayside for a job as a dean of a college.

The entire "New Class" series is on DVD. It aired in reruns on USA during it's fifth season, but went off after a little while. The New Class doesn't air alongside the original series.
