I don't know if this has been discussed but on last nights episode they had a big scene about Roots. I know it was the big thing at the time and is still being referenced too a lot today but it would be like doesn't adult Kunta Kinte look a lot like our dad-lol.

No we have never discussed this. Roots was referenced in other episodes too. It's kinda weird to me to see the characters reference a tv movie that starred John Amos. I guess it was the writers way of promoting the Roots phenomenon. But yeah, you would think, "hey, Dad is on Roots!" LMAO

I think its weird as well when they reference to other shows still on the air at the same time. If they talk about watching CBS they would have to talk about seeing a show called Good Times-lol
