View Full Version : Tired of Waiting MessiahofPower
tdubel 04-04-2006, 08:11 PM Call this bad feedback, warning, whatever, tried to do a small 4 disc trade, can't seem to receive it after numerous emails, promises, etc. I am well known here, i am not the fastest, I don't hardly ever complain, I am very patient, I always come thru even if it takes me a bit on large trades.
SO< I work, have a family and am as busy as the next guy. BUT 4 disc trade is now in its 2nd month, still nothing finalized. In my opinion, this is ridiculous and if a 4 disc trade can't get done, I will choose not to deal with in the future.

messiahofpower 04-07-2006, 07:26 AM Just wish to say I never received anything neither. So this is not a BAD trade is a trade that never happened. I sent the set I had and have no way to get more as for some reason my master set keeps failing as I burn. What other choice do i have? Please state if you reply to this that you agree you never sent anything to me. I dont want people thinking I am stealing!

Do you think maybe it got lost in the mail, that's why he hasn't recieved it yet?
messiahofpower 04-07-2006, 05:23 PM Oh I am sure he didnt get it as he is a well respected trader. I know he isnt stealing. I am just saying I have not got anything neither as he was supposed to mail AFTER he got mine, so this trade actually never happened. Cant be considered a bad trade on neither of our part. I myself have a few good refrences not as much as TD albeit but good nonetheless so I would never ruin my Rep on a 4 disk trade. I had a 30-40 disk trade with Savage and all went good so come on!
loren 04-07-2006, 07:07 PM im quite sure that most folks would call it a deal as soon as both sides agreed to it
then if one side doesnt deliver, then its a bad trade,
all we have on the internet is our word, nothing else
this probably could have been avoided had the discs been checked previous to makeing the agreement
not knowing what's there is the easiest way to get into a problem
there are always other choices to make than not sending something after a promise and a long time
didnt you know like that very evening that there were problems, even if you didnt know before hand?? when you tried to run them??
and if one is too busy to run them, by all means dont take on more trades/sales/etc
maybe try to have someone else run them with different equipment??
maybe send the ones you have and trade for another set from the source, since you said yours worked
pretty much anything, except stiff someone , and especialy after a long time
i only get about 1/3 of the items that are promised to me in trades, from new people that are on the sedn first program
i have learned to just get over it, and call it , thats the way it goes
some folks arent as foregiving, and actualy expect things to get done
messiahofpower 04-07-2006, 08:05 PM ok
messiahofpower 04-07-2006, 08:36 PM ok
loren 04-07-2006, 10:38 PM you may not consider yourself new, but the other person did, thus you needed to send first, previous to him sending
so you sent the first bunch, wheres the del con number, a person with all that experience should know about the little green slip that ends every argument
feedback on a sales site means nothing on a trade area
when ioffer first started, you could gran feedback from anyones ebay sight, all they asked for was a user name, i know lots of people who looked for a good account on ebay and just grabbed it, further, on a sales site, you can get one cent feedback or less, just for buying coupons, ebooks, etc, and leaving the other person feedback, hundreds can be gotten in a weekend
if a plumber says he will come and fix your drain and never shows , hes a bad plumber
a person gave his word that a trade would be sent, it was agreed upon as to the terms, its up to you to hold to that agreement, and use a ship method, that gaurentees its arrival at the agreed upon time
we read the same account all the time, one says he sent it, the other never gets it, a del con settles the entire mess
is your reputation not worth the 50 cents??
some of us use electronic postage and the del con is free, and the use of the web site is free
i dont go to the bathroom with out a del con, or a sig con,
messiahofpower 04-07-2006, 10:55 PM Loren you can go bother Sheri..lol I'm not playing any more.
tdubel 04-07-2006, 11:11 PM I am not going to get into a match here, my point is this, I am a WELL KNOWN Trader who always delivers (sometimes slow Mr. Randazzo!!).
Situation: You asked for some of my extras, as a favor they were already claimed, but I made a new set. I believe you indicated you would send first, so I waited, I didn't know you, therefore you were new to me.
I followed up repeatedly via email with you and got little response. Then I got a response and was completely cool with it and I indicated, ok, when I receive them, I will get yours out asap.
Several weeks, more emails, still nothing. NOW< this has wasted my time when I felt I was doing a favor and even getting 1 less disc for my troubles (lopsided trade).
The point is, if you indicate you will do something no matter how small, you should. I simply have too much going on to have to chase things like this down. These situations slow down other trades for no reason.
I am not upset nor hold a grudge, but I believe experiences are posted here for a reason.

april4972 04-07-2006, 11:32 PM Delivery confirmation is great when the post office remembers to scan in the item...ours forgets ALL the time making the D/C option pointless!!
messiahofpower 04-07-2006, 11:33 PM No match TD. I didn't know you made extra disk as you said you were about to throw them away or something and you never said till now you had to make another set. So I put a few big trades in front of you I admit and when I finally got them made I didnt want to pay for Priority mail to send D.C on a 4 disk trade and apparently that was my biggest mistake being cheap. Then I moved and I am gone for a month are so and come back and was about to ask you were my disk were when I read my P.M and see that you never got the ones I sent in the first place a month earlier. So I try and burn another set and for some reason they keep failing at about 70-80%. I was in a MAJOR move as I have alot of stuff. 2 of the biggest UHAULS just to move it and I guess maybe they were scratched or something as a few other sets are giving me trouble as well. I sent the first set you can believe me or not there is no way I can prove it but you cannot unprove it and you must admit it would be odd ti ruin my rep on a 4 disk trade. Right? Well enough said about this from me. No hard feelings and goodnight.

tdubel 04-08-2006, 12:31 AM Honestly, I have no hard feelings, appreciate the apology. All you had to do was contact me and tell me this, no biggie.
Again, I only used the feedback forum for what its worth. I also only do small trades with folks at first until I am comfortable and I take as much pride in a 1 disc trade as a 200 disc trade.

BeefyBoyGod 05-19-2006, 02:02 AM Has anyone that was owed gotten anything yet?
Still waiting on my half, and I said I'd settle for blanks. :-/
savageamusement 05-19-2006, 08:15 AM I have done 2 trades with Messiah.
The first was for 25 discs.
I received them all in 10 days- all worked but one- he offered to replace it - I said not a big deal
The second was 15 discs-
This took longer, after ten days I emailed- and got no reply later that week he emailed me to let me know he had been/was ill.
I recived the 15 about a week later- so 3 weeks total.
Communication was less, but it was there.
However, honestly as a moderator, a few people have mentioned problems with length of time.
I addressed them with Messiah, and until Tdubel had posted, nothing else had come across my desk, so to speak.
I do think, once a deal is set up if something goes wrong regardless of discs being sent out, a confirmation in the least is owed.
If you can not send- if you come into a family emergency, health issues etc-
I would hope at the soonest convienience a note would be sent saying that.
If everyone recalls even when a death occured in the family, Joey1727 posted-
And when Dragonbear was in the hospital he called me to ask to post to his current trades.
A trade being followed through, or a trade being cancelled- communication is still important.
*
When trading, you never know if the trade is for a gift, a replacement, or personal enjoyement- and a trade is set up on trust, reputation, and communication.
If the trade can not be completed, I don't believe anything less should be offered-than an confirmation and polite apology so that the trader can seek the items elsewhere, or recover/save time and effort. The only thing worse than not getting what you waited for, is waiting and not getting anything.
messiahofpower 05-26-2006, 06:50 PM I am back. Havent checked the boards in a month it seems. I will fix this.
