....getting her son's ears checked? I know she mentioned she couldn't get time off, but that was her son! Most jobs are reasonable when it comes to that! Florida was virtually a stranger, and she left her son in the hands of a stranger while she go to work as, for crying out loud, a cocktail waitress!

Yeah, i mean, there are times when $$ and the bills come first, but never before the health of your child.

I do agree. Sometimes hard working parents can miss something through the cracks as a result of working too hard or thinking that their children are just acting up. Sometimes that is not the case. My Brother N Law thought that my niece (at age 4 1/2) was bumping into wall on purpose when it turned out that she really needed glasses and I was right. She was extremely near sighted for someone her age at that time. I am glad the he and my sister got her to the doctor for an eye exam. I know that Mrs. Baker was upset and all but she should have been mad with herself, not Florida!

I totally agree, and I'm sure that he wasn't the only kid she had, so juggling work and her other kids, sometimes you just miss things.
