I know that someone on this board was asking once why Frasier said on "Cheers" once that his father was a research scientist, but that he was dead, and on "Frasier" he's still alive and kicking.Then someone else said that, when Sam was on "Frasier" once, Frasier told Martin he said that because he was mad at him at the time.
Well, I just saw that episode again, so, for those who are wondering (or care!) the dialouge went:

MARTIN (to Sam):
"WHAT'D HE TELL YOU ABOUT ME, THE OLD COP"?

SAM: "UH...HE SAID YOU WERE DEAD".

MARTIN (to Frasier):

"YOU SAID I WAS DEAD"???!!!

FRASIER:
"WELL, YOU HAD HUNG UP ON ME, I WAS MAD AT YOU"!

SAM: "AND HE SAID YOU WERE A RESHEARCH SCIENTIST".

MARTIN to FRASIER again: "A RESHEARCH SCIENTIST"???

FRASIER: "WELL, WHAT DID IT MATTER! YOU WERE DEAD ANYWAY"!

Martin's wife were the dead ones

I guess that was one way to explain away what Frasier said about his dad on Cheers.

that is my favorite episode of Frasier

I love the episodes with the old Cheers characters, especially that one.
