My mom went to our Walmart to see if they had it in, nada. She went to Target & Best Buy, nada. She asked at all places & was told the only way to get the DVD is to buy it online thru there websites. Now I dont know if this is like this thruought the US but if it is, this sucks. Doing it this way, it might not sell as well & that could be the end of Alice on DVD. Let's hope not tho.

I live in Canada, and I ordered it from Amazon.com because I know I would have a hard time finding this release in Canada. It's been shipped and I can't wait to see the episodes. It's been a long time since I have seen them so I am hoping for a nine season release !!!!!!

Oh I hope they do season sets too. I have wanted this show on DVD for so long. I first ordered this at Best Buy's website totally forgetting to look at Deep Discount first. LOL I had to get me one & one for my mom. The total with shipping & tax at Best Buy's was under 23.00. I then remember after I place the order to check out Deep Discount. After seeing there price, I called up Best Buy & cancelled my order with them. LOL I can't wait to get the DVD.

:) For a great time, go back to the 70s and spend an evening with Flo, Vera, Alice, Tommy, Mel, Travis and Henry at Mel's Diner. I got the DVD on order from Barnes and Noble for $9.99. Basically it is $5.99 or around there online, but when you add the S&H it (I just realized I spelled a bad word there) it comes out to $9.99. I wish the DVD had some extra treats but the six episodes are a start. I hope the first season comes out, but if the distribution is difficult in terms of where to find it, then that could prove to be a real problem. Alice was "daring" in a sense with the "gay" episode...and remember when Vera tried to kill herself? Alice could make some brave statements for her day and still retain its genuine warmth and humor. Do you want to really feel old???? Tommy will be 42 this year. Oh my knees!!! And in one episode there is a reference on the disc to "President Carter." Those were the days my friends!!!
