Interesting, Matt Groenig has said several times that a movie wouldn't happen as long as the series was still on the air. However, they just signed a new 2 year contract with Fox, so if this was to happen, they would still be on the air.

It's about time!! Iv'e been waiting for a Simpson's movie for years.

They need to pull the plug on the Simpsons already.

Good lord, I'm just picturing the movie theatre opening day.
