What's your all time favorite episode of Martin and why?

I love the Martin Show.. I like the Halloween Special, The Tommy Hearns Boxing Match w/ Martin,

I loved the episode where Martin and the gang went to hollywood to be on the Varnell Hill Show(aka Arsenio Hall Show). Tommy Davison was great as a sell out host who steals every comedians jokes. Martin was hysterical when he sang with Jodeci. There were so many funny parts from the "celebrities" in the green room to Tommy thinking a transvestite is trying to pick him up to the great ending where Martin fights Michael Jackson.

my favorite episode is the one where Cole was clipping his toenails and that one started flying like a boomerang I almost choked to death from laughing so hard!

i think one of the funniest episode was when martin had everyone freezing and starving to death cause he didn't want to pay the rent. he had everyone thinking he had to pay 500 hundred more but it was only 5 dollars. then hustle man came over sellin' birds on a stick with porkin' bean juice all over it.i was crackin up!!that was to funny

My Favorite episode was the one where they where all in the hospital visting the wrong guy who they thought was Tommy in a full bodycast.

The Christmas episode where Martim and Gina are trapped in the Bus Stop and everyone is fighting for change.

The one where Martin and the Guys deliver a baby in the apartment. I loved how the baby just shot out of the woman!

The Episode where Gina and Pam had to work in Sheneneh's beauty salon to get basketball tickets

The Episode with Cole's GIANT TOENAILS!

The Episode where Martin thought that Gina was having an affair with the air conditioner man

The Episode where Martin and the guys had to get the mouse out of the house

The Episode where Gina and Pam was competing over who will get to sing for BIG POPPA- a legendary appearance by him in this episode.

My favorite was the episode where Martin thought someone stole his new CD player, he had everyone sittin around the table like the scene in new jack city. He was draggin around that stuffed doberman, tellin it to sit. I laughed so hard I was cryin.

There's one funny episode I forgot to put on:

The episode where Martin and Gina go on a vacation only to be terrorized by what I think is a giant stuffed rat.

That one had me falling out of my chair when I first saw it.

Yes this one has got to be the greatest Martin ep of all time my favorite part is when Coal comes with the pizza and everyone fights for it then the pizza get thrown on the table and it breaks because it's frozen that is so funny, but I also like the one where Martin and Gina are trying to find out what Tommy does for a living I love it at the end when Gina says to Martin you should of saw this comming with your cat eye and she does this thing with here eye that is so funny. I can't forget this ep it's halirious the one where Gina gets her head stuck in the bed frame and she ends up having to put something over it so she can go to her meeting that ep is also very funny.

I don't remember many episodes, but there was a rerun shown this week that was pretty funny. Martin's friend, the shorter one, is called in for jury duty. Martin tells him to just ignore the summons, like he always does. Ripping the paper, he says, "Court is adjourned."

When they get to court the next morning the friend tells the court about what Martin had said the day before, and gets Martin into trouble. They both get called into the same jury. The friend drags out the jury session, and Martin is going crazy from the boredom.

I was reading back through this and now I remember the one where David Allen Grier was the preacher. That was the funniest one I remember.

Some of the other ones sound funny too.

I like The episode when Pam gets hypnotized to act like Martin. That was hilarious.

I like the episode that featured Biggie Smalls. I love the way Pam and Gina were competing for the chance to sing with Biggie. I love the way Pam sang When I Think of Home....it was so hilarious :lol:

I don't quite remember the exact title but it was when mama payne came to the church expecting to see the wedding rehearsal or the wedding and Martin and Gina weren't there and Mama Payne thought that Gina took Martin away. Mama Payne then proceeded to run to the alter and flip through the bible muttering some bible verse, ran to the organ and played a tune and sang then spoke in tongues all the while crying that Gina took her baby Martin. F-U-N-N-Y! I wish I could find that episode again. I think it was a two parter.:wave:

My favorite all-time episode is the one with the dead plumber, that espiode is freaking hilarious when Gina said let's make a name for him and Martin said D.P. and Gina said that's so sweet, what does it stands for? and Martin said Dead Plumber *lol*

Okay the one where Ms. Payne's bird dies is the funniest episode every, but my friends and I can't remember what is the birds name?? If anyone knows can you post so I can finally get this out of my head!!

One of my favorite episodes is the one where him and Pam keep playing tricks on each other. METHOD MAN comes to rob his apartment, and he thinks Pam as sent him, so he starts giving him all his valuables.

1. When Martin and the rest of the crew won a vacation off of a ceral box. Remember the rat they found in the cabin? LOL
2. Martin on the "Varnell Hill Show."
3. When the crew won a Jeep and tore it up in a whole week!

I have TIVO and I record Matin in the mornings, that episode when martin and pam was beating down the rat was so funny. That is my all time favorite one, I even tried not to laugh, but it was so funny! I love this show. :lol:

--"Beat It" (season 2): Martin invites people to his fight party; Cole and Tommy fight over a girl.

--"Hollywood Swingin" (season 2): Martin and the gane go to Hollywood to be on the Varnell Hill Show.

--"To Kill a Talking Bird" (season 2): Mama Payne's bird dies under Gina's care

--"Suspucious Minds" (season 2): Martin's CD player is missing and accuses his friends, New Jack City style.

--"Whoomp! There It Ain't" (season 2): Pam challenges Gina and Martin to go two weeks without sex; Martin and Gina bet each other on who breaks first. The bedroom scene is the funniest ever, when Gina catches Martin with a icepack on his private area.

--"The Closer I Get to You" (season 3): Martin becomes the new host of "Word on the Street", when its original host is dragged off the set and to jail; Martin gives love advice to Tommy, and when Martin finds out that Tommy loves Pam, Martin has a screaming fit.

--"Get A Job" (season 3): Martin and Gina inquire about Tommy's mysterious job status (even I personally think he did some shady stuff on the side), and when Tommy gets defensive about it, Martin and Gina go on a stakeout and find Tommy as a dancer at a nightclub (Tommy was doing it for charity).

--"Aint Nuttin Goin But the Rent" (season 3): Martin goes on a rent strike when his landlord raises his rent, and the gang damn near freeze to death.

--"All the Players Came" (season 3): Martin and the gang put together a fundraiser to save a neighborhood movie theater; Jerome and Antonio Fargas (AKA Huggy Bear from the original Starksy & Hutch) have a showdown for Playa of the Year.

--"High Noon" (season 3): A scared Martin finds out that a criminal that he put away, Mad Dog No Good (Gary Coleman) is released from prison and the two have a face to face meeting.

--"C.R.E.A.M." (season 3): The gang invest their money into a new restaurant, only to mess it at the end (mostly thanks to Cole). Stan (Garrett Morris) makes his first appearance on the show since near the end of Season 2.

--"The Romatic Weekend" (season 3): Gina is jealous when Pam and Tommy go on vacation to celebrate their six-month anniversary, and Gina gets Martin to take her to Chilligan's Island, where they surprisingly meet Pam and Tommy, and all hell breaks loose.

Almost anything else from seasons 4 and 5 are just garbage, and are nowhere as good as the first three years.

One of my favorite Martin moments was when Martin joined a cult and the side of his head was twisted and the other side he had an Aphro :lol: . Another one was when Martin was in a boxing match with someone and the guy fighting him bunch him so hard he flew on the wall, then you see him and his face was all lumped up:lol: :lol: . Or when Gina got and allergic reaction and her face was puffy:lol: . Oh there were so many every episode was histarical, and still is. Speaking of puffy here's a recent photo of Tisha Campbell.

To this day, the FOX Thursday night lineup of Martin, Living Single, and New York Undercover is known as the Holy Trinity in the hood—a block of television that targeted people of color and won. Martin stands out from that bunch as one of the greatest programs to ever grace television. It was—and still is—pure hip-hop.

Martin (Martin Lawrence), on-air personality for the fictional Detroit radio station WZUP, and his boys—Tommy (Thomas Mikal Ford) and Cole (Carl Anthony Payne II)—wore Jordans and spoke slang. Martin's wife Gina (Tisha Campbell-Martin) and her best friend Pam (Tichina Arnold)—who Martin hated with all his heart—were strong women who didn't take **** from anybody. In addition to the leading parts, there were bit players like ghetto starlet Sheneneh, playa from the Himalayas Jerome (both played by Lawrence), salesman Hustle Man (Tracy Morgan), and Martin's elderly foe Miss Geri (the late Jeri Gray), among others.

Martin was the black version of The Honeymooners. Martin and Gina loved each other madly, just like Ralph and Alice; Pam was Trixie; and Tommy and Cole were both Ed Norton (with an emphasis on Cole). The relationship between Martin and Gina was so important that the show died when Tisha Campbell-Martin filed a lawsuit citing sexual harassment and verbal abuse against Lawrence and HBO, the show's production company. Campbell-Martin refused to be in the same frame with Lawrence, and eventually the dispute had to be settled out of court.

On camera, and for four of the show's five seasons, Martin and Tisha portrayed the trials and tribulations of a young couple just trying to survive in Detroit. They were a ride-or-die couple no matter what obstacles they faced. And their friends—Tommy, Cole, and Pam—were loyal co-defendants in whatever nonsense the couple got into.
