5) Rhematic fever
10) Margaret Turner
nitcrt1 04-02-2006, 05:19 PM Makoto_4 you are correct with your answers. Way to go with question one. "Vertigo" is the answer. I thought that'd be a tough one, but you got it. Judgestone, your answers were correct except for #1. Also, Harry did not suffer any kind of hearing loss due to his Rheumatic
Fever as a child.
Okay, so we need the answers for questions 3, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
Keep thinking everyone. You're doing great so far!
#3 Highlights, that kids' magazine!
nitcrt1 04-02-2006, 07:19 PM You got number 3 JNoc. It is Highlights Magazine.
nitcrt1 04-09-2006, 10:59 AM Come on guys. Don't give up on this yet. You have until the end of the month. Keep picking at it.
McFly121 04-09-2006, 01:35 PM 8. The Starlights :)
7. What building is featured during the end credits of "Night Court?"
Has to be the Tweed Courthouse in lower Manhattan. What throws me is Night Court shows only a little section of the front of the building and Tweed takes up a huge space right in front of City Hall.
nitcrt1 04-09-2006, 07:10 PM McFly you are correct with question #8 it was The Starlights.
JNoc keep thinking. Your answer is incorrect. It is not the Tweed Courthouse. I've actually seen the real picture of the building used in the credits. What's even funnier is that the picture I saw is practically the same but I think the image was larger. I'll have to take a look again.
OK, how about:
New York State Supreme Courthouse
60 Centre Street
New York, NY 10007
Just so we're clear here, I don't make it a point of knowing courthouses in other states and I have no outstanding warrants, haha! I have been to a few in NY because for a short while I thought I was going to go to law school there. Oh, and I think this building replaced the Tweed offices so high school history does have a small use in real life if you can rejoin your brain cells long enough.

nitcrt1 04-10-2006, 12:07 PM That's the one! I looked up some information after you put your post up. As history did show the county courthouse offices moved from the Tweed Courthouse to the fairly new State Supreme Court Building on Centre Street. So, you weren't totally wrong on your information. I was just looking for this building, because it is the exact building featured in the show credits.
Yeah! That Boss Tweed/Tammany Hall history fascinates me. It just seems like there's more corruption now because of TV reporting but the reality is this stuff's been going on for ages.
Now on to the rest of your questions: How about a hint on Dan's portfolio? He was broke for most of the seasons so if it's above zero, please give us a clue as to when!

Dan's portfolio was well above zero in season two. Clue #1-He mentions its worth in one of those episodes from season two. (I know which one. However, I'm not going to give that away just yet.)
Harry T Stone 04-11-2006, 12:29 AM Dan's porfolio was worth $75,000, before his accountant died during the audit, and the IRS dissallowed everything. "Flat busted, bereaft of funds..." ("The Gypsy", s2e16):

and for number 4 (s5e12, "Dan, the Walking Time Bomb"):

and for number 10, what about these, from s3e13, "The Night Off":

Mel isn't on Harry's desk at all in this episode.

Good Point~!! And I loove the images, *very* clear! What do you use?
nitcrt1 04-11-2006, 04:09 PM You're correct about the amount. But we find out earlier than the episode you mentioned about the amount in Dan's portfoilo. We actually find out in "Nuts About Harry" episode number 14 in season two. Dan defends himself to mental patient Wendell about the state of his finances and tells him that he has a portfolio worth $75,000.
Correct with your picture. Especially since that episode was on last night. Dan plays the accordian. That's the answer I wanted. But if anyone said the piano, I'd take that too since Dan played it in the episode where Christine's friend comes to town.
I forgot about those pictures from season 3, but they're not what I'm looking for. Those pictures we pretty much knew were temporary. The incident to which I was referring was pretty big. When Harry replaced the picture of Mel with his girlfriend Margaret's, the studio audience booed him for it. This reaction was generated by the end of Harry's line..."Goodnight Mel" as he plunked the picture of Mel into his drawer with the intention of never putting it out again. I probably should have re-phrased the question this way.
10. With what picture did Harry have the intention of *permanently*
replacing his Mel Torme picture?
A few people already got number ten already.
