I remember I was driving in my car when I heard the terrible news on the radio. It seems like yesterday. So tragic.

Selena has been such a big part of my life for the last eight years and I just can't believe it's been eleven years since she's been gone. Usually, I'm very emotional about it but this year I'm okay. Last year I was a wreck but I think I'm learning to celebrate her life rather than grieving the loss of it.

Wow! It's been 11 years..Time sure flies. I recall this day as if it was yesterday.
Consentida, you do a great thing by celebrating her life; it helps you heal better.

WOW! Anniversary of her death is my birthday. That sucks. But it's like Consentida said. You have to imagine her life, not death, unless you want to make urself depressed thinking about her death. And the one who shot her will moset definetly pay for the sin she has done.

:( I knew that she died young but I never realized just how young. Selena was only five years older then me. :(

I can't believe it's been eleven years. I cry every time I watch the film based on her life. She died so young and tragically. I remember watching on I think it was the muchmoremusic bio a few years back Abraham (her father) said that she was a nice person all the time and didn't just smile for the camera or something. That's what really makes this case sad, not only was she a great singer, but she also seemed like a great person.

Here's some more pics of Selena and Chris Perez together.

Thanks. Its not mine, though (I wish it was). I found it online about a year ago and I just thought it was so beautiful and just captured Selena in a way that a lot of pictures or words or videos can't.

That's what I love about her. She was always very genuine. There was none of this "faking for the camera" business that you see with a lot of celebrities today. If you watch any footage of her, she's exactly the same way with everyone. She was a beautiful person and she really cared about people. I wish I could be more like her.

Wow, 11 years. It seems like was just yesterday that heard the news. Too bad I didn't know who she was or how strong of an impact she had made at the time.
