Superman vs Atom man is the second of two superman serials made with Kirk Allyn in the lead. In the 50's when he was asked to play the leadi n the tv version, he refused not wanting to be typecast, so Reeves got the part. Allyn went to obsucrity and Reeves?, oh well.

I have over 220 serials, possibly all that are intact and about 10 silent movie serials. Just love that old stuff. Many cartoon and radio figures were made into serials.

Harvey

Superman was a amazing character. If you fired bullets, he stood there , and they bounced of his chest. Throw a small chair and he ducked. His disguise was truly amazing. It consisted of one pair of horned rim glasses. Put them on and he looked like Kent. No voice change, no nothing. Of course when he donned the cape and wanted to go back to being Clark, there was always a suit for him to change to. Must have been hundreds of suits for him to find.

Before he passed on I met Jackson Beck, he of the voice, "look up in the sky, it's a bird" at a old time radio convention. Small man, about 5 feet 6 but what a booming voice.
