View Full Version : No matter how many times I see this episode...it irks the hell outta me to see
Ireneparalegal 03-30-2006, 02:20 PM Rerun go "beserk" in the end of the episode abt finding the money in the house. When he finds that candy wrapper and starts trashing the furniture and then jumping on the couch the way he did. WTF? what was the purpose of that? to get a good laugh out of the episode? I felt it was dumb.

Brieannas21 03-30-2006, 05:33 PM Did that episode come on last night? That's one of my favorite episodes from the 3rd season.

yeah it was on last night. as a matter of fact, it was my first time seeing it since WH began showing on TVLand...
I missed the first ten minutes though...:( I love this episode too. I especially love that part when the old man "duke" comes in and he starts mumbling away and Dee says with this cute face "What'd he say??" That makes me laugh all the time. The ending is what sucks though.

TVFactFan 03-30-2006, 07:06 PM I think 11pm is a bad time slot for WHat's Happening. It should be moved to 12am

Why???? here it's on at 11:30 p.m. that's kinda late here. It should be WH in the slot that occupies Andy Griffith. AG had already been shown so many times on TVLand...they should push-over the already shown classics and show the new classics earlier.

Actually Good Times should be on ONCE at 10pm and What's Happening should be in the 10:30pm slot

This is true.
but why do they have Good Times on four times!? So that those who missed it earlier can catch it later? if so, then why not do the same thing with WH?

I'm thinking because What's Happening only had 3 seasons
CindyRoxiesLair2006 03-30-2006, 07:36 PM Getting back to the "frenzied Rerun" episode, Season 3's "The Thomas Treasure"...
I didn't find him the least bit funny, either...I mean, like he was actually going to come across more money, or whatever!
PUH-LEEZE.
:p

I agree. I loved that part. Rerun was getting down.
CindyRoxiesLair2006 03-31-2006, 08:12 PM OmiGODDD... :happyface
I just thought of something concerning this particular episode, guys & gals.
Anyhow, when all of the money is gathered up into a mountain pile in the middle of the coffee table, and everyone is still ultra-psyched about finding it, Rerun goes on & on about this mess concerning "he should get at least 50 percent of the whole take, due to his encouragement to everyone to keep looking."
And he also said, in a brief mumble of sorts, "It's my money anyway."
""MY MONEY", HELL! No WAY, honey...
I'm sorry, but...if that had been in MY HOUSE, and he went on about that bull, in MY HOUSE, I'd have to have him tossed out royally on his tookers!
And NO, he sure wouldn't be welcome back in MY HOUSE anymore...LOL
Also, Rerun kept putting his hand back into the pile, hoping to sneak a couple of bills on the sly...but Shirley got his tail GOOD in alleviating that action!
"Stubbs is your last name, huh? Oh yeah, yeah...that's a good name for you.
That's what your arm's gonna be, if you put it back in this pile..."

i so agree with you girlfriend. I mean, it was Raj's mom's house. For Rerun to try and be a thief after all the times she fed him, gave him twinkies and got his money back from that fake cult...pleeeeeze, Rerun, get your fat ass hand outta MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!

CindyRoxiesLair2006 03-31-2006, 10:55 PM Not only did he need to get his overgrown tail out of the money thing, girlfriend Irene, but Rerun needed to get out of Mama & Raj's HOUSE! For REAL... :happyface
Totally agreed with the whole explanation you provided there, now. No doubt or question about that being true!
It was too much for anyone to bear...eating the Thomases out of house and home, and not to mention just HANGING AROUND...
I don't believe I ever saw Rerun do a lick of homework, much less real work in general (even though he did work part time as a pizza delivery person during Season 2; but he ended up eating up all of the profits! LOL)

How Raj could put up with that crap, I will never know...
Raj should've said to Rerun: "It's OVER!!!!!!!!! in that loud voice of his...LMAO!

You got THAT right on the nail's head and THEN some more, Irene-girl! That from Raj would've been SUPER-appropriate, as far as dealing w/Rerun's "sponging syndrome" goes!
Too funny indeed! Here ya go...of such a scenario...
RAJ: You got any back rent or food bill money to cover yourself there, Rerun?
RERUN: Well Raj...uh, NO...I mean, I didn't think that I'd...
RAJ: That's RIGHT! You didn't THINK! You didn't think about anything or anyBODY but YOURSELF! Sponging off of us Thomases for all these years, and now thinking that you're gonna take the whole damn $2500 that WE found???
Oh, no, no, NO! Rerun, it's over between you and I! You hear that?
It's OVER!!!
That's the scenario I would've put forth into play. I sure WOULD...LOL :p
