I like it though, I love when it stays light late, especially now that I have a lot of night classes, don't have to walk to class in pitch blackness. Ur crazy lol, its just starting to get nice out.. ur crazy lol:lol: I didnt know time changed this weekend.. thanks:) I just hate the summer, whcih is right around the corner PZelda 03-30-2006, 02:53 PM http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/b.html Date change in 2007 On August 8, 2005, President George W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This Act changed the time change dates for Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. Beginning in 2007, DST will begin on the second Sunday of March and end the first Sunday of November. The Secretary of Energy will report the impact of this change to Congress. Congress retains the right to revert the Daylight Saving Time back to the 2005 time schedule once the Department of Energy study is complete. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_Saving_Time Through the end of 2006, the United States starts its DST on the first Sunday in April (April 2, 2006), and changes back to standard time on the last Sunday in October. Beginning in 2007, it will start DST on the second Sunday in March, and change back to standard time on the first Sunday in November. Under Section 110 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, the U.S. Department of Energy is required to study the impact of the daylight saving extension no later than nine months after the change takes effect. Congress has retained the right to revert back to the daylight saving schedule set in 1986 if it cannot be shown that there are significant energy savings from an extension of daylight saving time. What this means is that when 2007 rolls around, Daylight Saving Time will occur in MARCH, not APRIL. This has been changed and 2007 will be the first year this will happen. dawsongirl 03-30-2006, 02:55 PM Ah geez....I need to start paying attention to things. I had no idea. Thanks for the reminder thread. :) EmoJoe 03-30-2006, 05:04 PM i like when it gets light earlier when its dark for so long its kinda depressing. G-Force Glockstar 03-30-2006, 05:40 PM Daylight saving time is stupid........ swedeace 03-30-2006, 05:43 PM Wait...Whoa?! Already THAT time for daylight savings time THIS coming weekend? Damn!! Well, I am not complaining. I really like when there is more sunlight during the day. I hate when the sun goes down so early. Right now, it's been going down for us at around 6:30 p.m., so then it'll increase to 7:30 p.m. Awesome! :D swedeace 03-30-2006, 05:44 PM  i like when it gets light earlier when its dark for so long its kinda depressing. Yes. I agree. It's very depressing when there is more darkness during the day. That's one reason why I find the winter time so depressing....because of the sunlight decrease. Hollow 03-30-2006, 06:25 PM YES!!!!! i love this time of year. effing arizona doesn't do daylight savings so during the fall and winter everything comes on tv an hour later than in the summer, and that's always been a problem for me because my shows always come on late at night and i have to stay up an extra hour to see them when i prefer to fall asleep early; now i can go to sleep at 12 every night after watching family guy instead of 1; and there wAS MUCH REJOICING. it's annoying though when you forget about it and tune into your shows an hour late. I get one less hour on Sunday (only 23 hours), but the extra sunlight does compensate. I'd rather have that. Wow! I was just remembering how when Daylight Saving Time ended last year in October, I wasn't even home. I was in Europe. That was cool to get one extra hour of sleep on vacation! :D |
