...and you never guess who will take over as the fifth host of the Family Feud franchise.

I think that is a horrible choice to replace Richard Karn. I like O'Hurley, but he doesn't seem to fit the Family Feud mold.

No way! Richard Karn was doing so good! First Judge Mablean of Divorce Court is getting replaced and now Richard Karn. By BEN-FM himself, John O'Hurley.

Hmm...well, IMO, it doesn't really matter, because Feud has been boring since Louie's version. I have no idea how it's lasted so long.

They're suppose to do a complete revamp of the show, espeically getting a new set. As far as new music, it's a possibility.

What about the announcer Burton Richardson? Is he staying or no?

Ugh. My parents and I love watching Feud every night, and I just have a feeling that a "complete revamp" is going to work against it.

Dawson's version ran nearly 10 years on the same set with the same music with the same host, and this one is already on its third host in seven years. Bah humbug.

Maybe Richard Karn will get a new series. That always works out! Maybe he doesn't want to do it anymore. Ever think of that?

It's 2...well, technically 3, revivals in the past were awful one-season wonders. (MG 90 with Ross Shafer, 98 with Michael Berger, and in 84, the MG/Hollywood Squares Hour with Jon Bowman and Gene Rayburn).

Perhaps Fremantle is actually smart enough to leave well enough alone with this one. Besides, in looking at the "celebrity" panel they conjured up for the new IGAS, they panel on a new MG would be like, Z list people. Z list people do not draw an audience.

Oh yeah i remember the one that was paired with Hollywood squares....John "Bowser" Bowman was one of the hosts, one of the worst choices for a gameshow host in history!

As far as i can recall, Richard Dawson was never the permanent host to Match Game, though, i seem to recall him filling in for Gene a couple of times, which led to him getting MG's sequel/replacement, Family Feud

I'd bring back ALL the classic Feud SFX(which actually came from the ABC run of Password). Also, I'd have Burton Richardson say at the end of the show, "This is Burton Richardson speaking for Family Feud--A Mark Goodson Television Production!" HEY FREMANTLE, ARE YOU LISTENING?

Yeah, good idea. I can see him being a kind of Allen Ludden type. Definetly not a Richard Dawson type.
