I hate to sound mean, but the elderly people. Today, I seen this little old man and he could barely see over the dash. He wasn't driving very well and I felt bad for him because people were honking at him. It made me think of all the elderly people (not all elderly people mind you) I have seen drive so bad. I once seen this little old lady drive her classic car through a five point intersection, running thru a red light and hit a tractor trailer! The tractor trailer applied it's brakes but it dragged the car with the old lady in it for abt ten feet before he was able to fully stop. I felt so bad for her but yet, couldn't help but think she shouldn't be driving.

I HATE Truckers. I can't speak for them all, but the ones around here are nuts. They drive like they own the road....Well, techically they do, since if you get in their way they'll squash you like a bug...But whatever.

I've had one of them try and run me off the road intentionally becaused I passed them when the guy was doing about 20 in a 35mph zone.

We have a ton of truckers around here because we're right next to the Canadian border, and they're always coming in from Canada and vice-versa.

same here Irene, old people! I don't mean to sound like rude, but the last time I drove back home (from my parents house) I was following this old couple up the mountain. well, it was snowing the day before, so of course the roads are a mess and yea, you're supposed to go slower because of the ice and all the winding and curvy roads through the mountains, but you're also supposed to go down to lower gear. the people in front of me kept tapping their breaks to stop every 2 - 3 seconds. annoyed the hell out of me. first off all, it's not good to constantly accelerate and break, it can really screw up your break pads when you always break really fast. second of all, that's what the lower gear is for either slow down to 2nd or 1st. it's to slow down your car when it's going downhill so you don't break and swerve out of control because of the ice. and lastly, you know how annoying it to to see those break lights constantly going on and off for about an hour?!? and it was a one lane road, so there was no way to ever pass them.

There are some really bad elderly drivers. Young, inexperienced drivers can be dangerous too. A lot of young drivers drive too fast.

Teenagers...all of them. The boys drive too fast and recklessly, and the girls are always too busy talking on a cell, or talking with passengers, or some other stupid distraction.

Women in minivans. I hate them all.

Men in full sized trucks. You know, the Dodge Rams or the Ford F-150+. They all drive like they think they own the ****ing road.

I followed some dumb**** (in a minivan!) today that rode his brakes on a flat street in the rain for a mile. I wanted to beat the hell out of him for the sole reason that looking at his brake lights was annoying.

I suppose if you want a general opinion on what kinds of people are considered bad drivers, you can look into the factors that are taken into consideration by auto insurance companies when they set rate quotes. Using historical statistics, they determine that these types of people have historically gotten in the most accidents and are therefore, charged higher rates:

Gender: Men are charged more than Women.
Age: Young and elderly adults are charged more than middle-aged adults.
Marital Status: Singles are charged more than Married.

There's one more factor that's not related to the driver, and that is the type of car.

So according to auto insurance companies, a young or elderly single man will be charged a higher premium because they are more prone to accidents than a middle-aged, married woman.

By taking historical data, there's one additional factor that can be considered but I don't think insurance companies will dare use it because of the potential for discrimination lawsuits: Race and Ethnicity. Imagine the rage that would occur if auto insurance companies said: "Historically, people who are (Black, White, Hispanic, or Asian, etc.) have been involved in the most accidents, so we must charge higher premiums to (that particular race)."

Reason why I like truckers:

I'm going to work today on the interstate and we come upon a jam at some construction. The right lane was closed and we were all going 5 mph getting into the other 2 lanes. Well, there's always those jerks who try to ride in the closing lane as far as they can so that they can beat all of us who know how to read a sign. Well, there was a trucker ahead of me and all of a sudden he gets into the right lane. I thought maybe he was just trying to see what the holdup was, so I stayed behind him. Then I look to my right and see a car, who was trying to pull that sneak job. LOLOLOL.....THIS is what I love about trucks. They can get away with that blocking maneuver. I LOVE THAT!! He had a whole line of people behind him.

Which leads me to more drivers I hate: those said people who constantly try to get ahead in a traffic jam. Hey buddy!! I'm pretty sure we all have somewhere to go as well....SO WAIT YOUR ****ING TURN!!!!!

Um, excuse me, but alot of we truck drivers are nothing like that!! I am a very safe truck driver. I'd like to see anybody on here try to drive a 70 ft., 40 ton vehicle through Atlanta, Chicago, or any big city during the day. There are so many more stupid 'four-wheelers' out there on the road, than there are, how you say, CRAZY truck drivers. The majority of truck drivers have a family to go home to, including me. Do you really think we are going to drive like maniacs and put ourselves and others at risk? Besides I have more important things to do, like picking up and delivering my load, so I can make a paycheck!!

Sorry for going off, but it just pissed me off that people who have no clue about truck drivers and the trucking industry clump as all together as bad drivers. There is a reason I have a Class A CDL. I've been with the same company for 7 years so I must be doing something right.

My Dad is the worst driver i've ever been with.

He drives like he's in the Indy 500. Tail gates, speeds, tries to pass every car in sight, drives me and my mom nuts. One of the reasons why we rarely ever go anywhere when he drives. Usually it's me or my mom driving.

Ahhh. I love that maneuver. If you're ballsy enough, you can do that in just about any car. I've driven with my uncle before, and he'll box out those "last second mergers" that try to sneak by everyone. Muahaha.

I noticed nobody said cab drivers. I had the worst experience with cab drivers. I almost had an accident at least 4 times that I know about because of cab drivers. I was driving one day in the heavy slick rain, and this cab driver was in the lane to my left, and all of a sudden, he jumped in my lane in front of me without signaling! I had to slam my breaks, and like I said, it was slick out. I then drove next to him and stuck my finger up at him. Cab drivers hands down are the worst drivers!

I think it's a tie between elderly people and young drivers; however, I say that elderly people, at least, have an excuse for driving slow: age. The younger people are often "punk drivers" who finally have that freedom of driving, so they are often riskier drivers (revving engines, weaving in and out of lanes, flipping people off, etc). I often see these such young punks drive sports cars - why is that? Because of the engine speed?

The desire for something that's pleasing to the eye and the need for something sporty will often dictate what kind of car younger people buy. Which is basically why I have the car I do now.

Not all of us are driving like idiots and flipping off other drivers though. Lol.

Oh, I had a feeling this would've been taken out of context. I didn't mean that all young, sports car-driving people will do this. I just meant to say that it seems that 7 out of 10 times when I see someone weaving in and out of the lanes in a crazy manner happen to be the younger people in the sports or fast-driving cars (at least, in my city). On the other hand, I see other young people who drive sports cars who don't act like this. In our society, unfortunately, it is easier to notice those who are often the culprits who misuse their vehicles more so than those who don't drive crazy only because it is around us.

Age-wise, I think elderly drivers are the worst. People talk about how bad teen drivers are, but I feel a lot safer in the car with a teenager than I would an elderly person.

Gender-wise, I think men are worse drivers when it comes to agressive driving. I see a lot more angry men onthe road than women.

Class-wise, I think richer people are worse. They are so arrogant and impatient and think they own the roads and and think nothing of multi-tasking while driving. They also have to take the closest parking spots while the little old lady has to park half-way down the lot

And the worst drivers of all? DRUNK DRIVERS!!!!!!!

From my past experience it has got to be "Middle Age Men", I don't know why they are under the impression that they are more important than everyone else on the road. Just because they are going thru a mid-life crisis, they still do not have the right to drive like jerks. I have seen way too many of the them on the road, cell phone in one hand usually food in the other and who knows what they are steering the car with???

A recipe for disaster.............all drivers just need to slow down and relax, the only priority while driving is to get to your destination safely.
