I have already checked TVShowsOnDVD and I can't find any info about Season 5 of this show on DVD. I was expecting it to be released in April just like last year, but we have not received any info and April is just a week away. Usually we get a heads up a few months in advance. They had a nice every 6 months release cycle going. What's up?

I have a bad feeling that we may end up with an incomplete collection. I am assuming that Season 4 did not sell so well because we have not heard a damn thing snce it was released in October. Seasons 1 and 2 were released fairly close to each other. After that I expected Season 3 to come along soon. But that took 2 years! Why the sudden spark of interest? And now, why the sudden lack of interest?

I live in a small city in Tennessee and once Nick at Nite and TVLand dropped this show (I can't remember was that in 2002 or 2003?) I had no other way to watch it besides on DVD. I am overjoyed to hear that TVLand is bringing it back this September. Still, an official DVD release would be better than me and my grandmother having to tape butchered syndicated episodes on the dying format that is VHS.

If anyone has any information or opinions about a Season 5 DVD release I would greatly appreciate it if you posted it on this thread. Thank you.

The promotion of Season 3 on David Letterman in April of 2005 probably was the reason that season sold so well and led to another release in October of 2005. Not sure if season 4 was promoted the same way.

Also, in case any of you are wondering why I only have 4 posts since May 2005, it is because I registered back then, made few posts on the Seinfeld board, and completely forgot about it! I have been checking this forum daily since then and today I though I should finally register, and it turned out I already did! My memory is usually not this bad. Maybe it is because I belong to so many other forums. It is very hard to keep up with all of them. If it seems that I have forgotten again someone please send me an e-mail or a PM and remind me. Thanks.

It was promoted in a different way. Right before the commercial there was a voiceover that said-"Make sure you buy the 3rd season of the Jeffersons"

Hi, Marty here. I think what will end up happening with season 5 of the Jeffersons, is that it will probly be a long awaited release or they might end up releasing it towards the end of the year.
