Back in July 2004, after obtaining a copy of the Keith Reinhard/Tom Young story on DVD, I felt inspired to contact the Clear Creek County, CO Sheriff's Department to find out if Reinhard was ever found. According to an unofficial report from someone there, he was never found or located as of July 2004.

This has to be one of the most interesting mysteries UM has ever had, and here are my thoughts as to what happened to him:

1. He too disappeared into the mountains and killed himself, as Tom Young did.
2. He lived, but disappeared on his own free will, possibly to West Virginia, as the show suggested.
3. There was foul play, and he and Tom Young were murdered, possibly because the building they were renting had problems that they knew too much about.

Awhile back, Crystaldawn posted some articles from the local press that made it seem as though Keith went to the mountains intent on facing his fear of heights, and perished. As you said, his remains have yet to be found. In my opinion, UM majorly trumped up the Tom Young/foul play connection. Take that angle away and the case loses it's luster me thinks.
