View Full Version : When did we see Carol the angriest?

My vote goes to the part during the episode "Goodbye, Alice, Hello" when the Brady kids were discussing how to win Alice back with Carol, and she said something to the effect of "I'm afraid sorry won't bring her back!"

Honorable mention goes to when she found out about Greg's near accident on the freeway in "Greg Gets Grounded."

How about everyone else?

When I red the title of this thread I too thought of the Alice episode. I think Flo was great at dramatic stuff and when it happens on a show like this where you never expect it it makes it all the more effective.

How about still in the episode, 'Goodbye, Alice Hello' that Carol demanded Alice to tell her who broke the lamp.

I also vote for "Goodbye Alice Hello."

Definitely "Goodbye Alice, Hello" - "Sometimes when you push people too far, you just can't bring them back!" She sounded genuinely upset.

How about when Mike was most upset? I think it was when he was pissed at Marcia during "Father of the Year". Or possibly during "Fright Night", after the kids broke the bust of his head.

Mike made the kids feel bad by his soft tone and the way he tilted his head and looked up when he talked. The example that comes to mind was when Greg lost the plans buying a car magazine.

I think Carol was definitely angriest in "Goodbye Alice Hello", when she scolded Marcia and Greg.

When she demanded that Alice tell her who broke the lamp, she was being more firm than angry. But she was pissed off at the kids when she found out why Alice left....plus, she was scolding for two, as Mike was out of town.

That's at least the angriest she ever was ON camera... but boy, you should have seen her when Mike finally got home after missing Greg's graduation... she was FURIOUS!! Good thing they kept Tiger's dog house..

Why, Tweety? I thought Mike had a business trip. She seemed to be very accepting of the situation in the scenes where they came home.

Oh that? Ah, that was just an act she put on for the kids' benefit...

I vote for the episode when the kids tried to scare Alice with that ghost coming down from the top of the stairs, and when Carol saw it she said, "My good sheets!!" and she had a really, really ticked look on her face.

Tweety, I am confused. Was I naïve to think Mike had a business trip as Carol suggested? Was Carol really lying because Mike was actually somewhere else?

Nah, I was just jokin' around... as you know, Robert Reed was written out of the last episode because he was upset about the silliness of the plot.

Actually, when the Bradys came back from Greg's graduation, Reed was standing offstage, about 30 feet away. The cast had to feel a little strange about that...

On these forums, I'll occasionally joke around about stuff that happened during a 'sixth' season, or stuff we didn't see during the episodes...

In that episode, Carol did in fact seem like she didn't mind at all that Mike wasn't there.

Sorry for the confusion, I was just kidding around...

Florence Henderson always did a good job of acting like she was angry. She looked exactly like my friend's mom used to look whenever she got angry at him.

I always thought that light green color looked good on her, but I didn't know she must have been lacking something under it which would be normally expected of an American middle class mother.

Anyway, there are other examples of her getting angry not mentioned yet; such as, when she goes to talk to Buddy Hinton's mother only to hear that she should listen to "what Ralphie says." I like the "Goodbye, Alice, Hello" ep mentioned, in which she gets angry more than once, but my favorite for FH's acting is the 5th season one when Greg steals the goat mascot, because she is very angry at both Greg and Mike, but must conceal it to those people (PTA, I think) to whom she is giving a tour of the house, and the purpose of their being there is to decide how to deal with those involved in the mascot-stealing.

How about when Marcia went diva getting ready to play Juliet- and Carol was given the unenviable task of telling Marcia she was canned? Carol seemed rather exasperated when she told her eldest that she'd brought the whole thing on herself!

How about Carol and Mike's wedding? When the tiger got out of the car and crashed the wedding so he could chase cat? Carol was pretty angry then too.

I also go with "Goodbye, Alice,Hello".She was REALLY irate when she learned the tyruth then lashed out at an older Greg and Marcia. At first when she talked to them, the conversation started out pretty nice, but when she learned the truth from Greg and Marcia(who had it coming to them),she REALLY got mad,and let them have it.
