I was just wondering-Is Dr. Samuels suppose to be married in the show? In some episodes he talks as if he is single and then other times he mentions having a wife. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Okay, so tell me if I am making this up- I seem to remember an episode where Dennis is writing an article about Dr. Samuels and wants to interview Dr. Sams. dog because "it's the only one to ever see Dr. Samuels naked"- which would probably mean he is single. Did I dream all this or is this an actual episode?

You're probably right - although it's so long since I've seen the series I can't remember. But Dr Samuels DID square dance - that's a very middle aged married couple occupation (no offence to any square dancers out there...)

I've just had a brainwave, though - in the episode "On The Road Again", the description of the episode is "A SEPARATED Dr Samuels moves in with Charlie".

Therefore, later on he might have reconciled with his wife, remarried OR stayed single (and when he mentions the hallucination about the wife in the tub of Jello, he might have been referring to his ex/separated wife).

But who can really say?
